Cuttlebug embosses shape of folder
I apologize if this has been covered. I just read through 12 pages of cuttlebug threads and didn't see it covered.
I am wondering how if I want to have a smaller folder picture appear on my card; how do I avoid getting the shape of the smaller folder (rectangle) as well? Your help is much appreciated. |
You are not the first to notice this problem! It does seem worse on thicker cardstock than on thinner stuff. You can try turning the cardstock over (after you've embossed) and "rubbing out" the lines with your bone folder.
Some folders seem to do it more than others. You could also play with your sandwich stack, and see if you could make it a bit thinner. Sorry there's no easy fix for this problem! I think a lot of people are just cutting out the small embossed piece and layering it. |
Thank you for such a detailed answer! Your help is much appreciated.

I was going to ask this question as well. Thanks for the info.

cuttlebug mini folder problem
I tried so many different ways and now I think I have finally solved it ----- To avoid having the border of the actual folder appear along with the dry embossed image you want, I play around with the thickness of my sandwich. Here is what I have come up with :
Sandwich from the bottom--- plate A a piece of foam sheet from Michael's a scrap piece of paper the nice paper that I want to emboss, with the mini folder around it plate C The image is not as crisp but there is no ' border ' to worry about. I hope this will help. ashley |
I use a rubber sheet and cut out the shape of the template so it fits inside then sandwich as usual. I would think it would help with the CB machine, but that is what I use for my Wizard.
