Cuttlebug dies and sticky-back paper

I'd like to know if I can use sticky-back paper with the cuttlebug dies. I bought a border die that comes out lacey and I don't how to attach it to my card. I thought about using sticky-back paper (that was run through my Xyron), but I don't want to gum up the die with the adhesive. Has anyone done this?

Yes, I have - I've used Xyron backed CS and the DCWV self adhesive CS with Cuttlebug dies and both worked perfectly.

I don't have a Cuttlebug, I use a Big Shot or my little Sidekick, but I wouldn't have thought the machine will make a difference. I didn't get any gumming up on the dies.

Mary Ann, I would run the die through the CB first, then run it through the Xyron....after it's cut. I wouldn't want to chance 'gumming up the works' by running through the Xyron first. KWIM??? I have a sideline that used a die in her CB (it's kind of a latice type die), then ran it through the Xyron to adhere it to her card. Worked like a charm. HTH

I run full sheets of CS thru the xyron then I use them with dies and my Big Shot all the time. Especially border dies and fine words and stuff. Have never had any probs.

I use sticky backed paper all the time in my CB and it works great---doesn't gum up anything. I don't like the Xyron as it leaves so much extra adhesive in the cut out places, even after burnishing, etc. HTH!

I have used the DCWV adhesive backed paper with the cuttlebug and have been very satisfied with the results! I have a "border pad" which I use mostly with the longer dies.
