Default Question about Cricut Design Studio

This is what I'm wondering...

I was playing with my Cricut today with my son and he wanted to make the little dog on the Doodlecharms cartridge. He wanted to make the ears, eye and nose different colors. But, when we hit the shift key on the dog we had to cut all of those elements at once because that function key is programmed to cut all three. This was wasting paper.

With the Design Studio, can I program it to ONLY cut one those elements? For example, cut JUST the eye or JUST cut the nose.

Plus, can I put a few different colors of cardstock on the mat and then tell the machine to cut those different elements on a different color with the same "cut" function?

Thanks for your thoughts!!!!! Take good care!!!!!

You may want to call Cricut support 877-7CRICUT and ask just to be sure. I usually watch what's being cut and push "stop" if I want to suspend anything. In regards to the last question, I'm not quite sure what you mean, but I think you just want to push "repeat last" and look at your LCD to make sure it's what you want. HTH
