Anyone used this yet? I just bought it and it's still sealed. The store clerk wasn't able to help me. I want to stamp some white (snow) trees on a metallic silver CS. I'm low on white ink and when I went to the store for refills, I came across this VersaMark. The package indicates "frost" which I am assuming white? Will my image be white like with white ink? Or is this a 'shadow' like the regular versamark? What is the difference? I've tried to goggle it but haven't really found any answers. THANKS.
I'm pretty sure it's the translucent watermark effect like regular Versamark, but with a bit of sparkle. I have the Champagne Dazzle and that's what it is like. I think the frost just has a different glitter.
It is a watermark ink like the regular Versamark with a slight sheen to it. I don't think it would work well for what you are looking for even on dark paper.
The only way I have ever used it is to ink up the stamp with the Versamark, mist it with water, and stamp onto paper that I have inked using the direct to paper technique. I really like the subtle effect.
No, this is not a white color at all. It is a clear Versamark image with a very pale shimmer to it. For a good white ink, I love Papertrey Ink's Fresh Snow inkpad.
