Cricut recall?????
 

I was at my LSS on Saturday and was telling the owner that I might have to break down and buy the Cricut after I tried it first hand! She said that she had been at a crop and there was a lady there that worked at AC Moore. That lady said that they are having a lot of problems with recalls on the cricut and that is why the price is going down so much. That they are trying to get rid of them. Has anyone heard of anything like this, or do you think that lady was just trying to start a bad rumor?? I think the price is going down because the new one is coming out. That makes more sense. Just curious though if anyone has had any problems with their Cricut????

I think if there was a recall that it would be on the Provocraft website. Usually when there is a recall they don't "sell what they have to get rid of them". I haven't had any problems with mine so far. :)

Mine has worked perfectly and I've had it since they first came out.

I thought the price was going down because the new Cricut is coming out soon and they want to sell off the old ones?

Nope, that's a rumor. Walmart was also telling people that Cricut was recalled when it was not. Some companies have decided to clear out so they can have room for both or one or the other. Provo Craft has issued a statement that the Cricuts are not recalled and they will still be making both when the new one comes out. I love my Cricut and have not had problems with it. I know a few that have had a few glitches but PC CS is excellent.

I did have an issue with my cricut that I bought when they first came out. I called Provocraft and explained my problem. They sent me a brand new machine!
