Cricut Question - Adhering the cut-outs - Xyron?

I got a Cricut today and let me just start by saying that I was so excited that I was actually shaking in the store during check out. When I took it into the car, I buckled it in the front seat - just in case.

After cutting out a few phrases, I became concerned, though. How will I adhere the small, sometimes thin pieces to my cards, etc? I can't imagine having to glue the tiny pieces with a glue stick and many letters in my first cartridge are too thin for anything else. I wonder if a Xyron machine would come in handy here...? I've never used the Xyron sticker machine but would be willing to purchase one for this purpose.

What do other Cricut users do?

Your input would be really appreciated. I've waited a long time for this machine and am frustrated by this problem. Thanks!!

For little pieces from the cricut or punches I use the Xyron "X". M's or J's frequently have the refills on sale 40% off or if not I use my coupon to stock up on refills. One tip - I run my bonefolder over the edge of the cutout before I remove the plastic covering. Sometimes you get "gluebees" if you don't. Also,those can easily be removed with one of those square thingies (I can't remember the name) that removes glue

I have tried glue pens etc but I always seem to get it all over my fingers and make a mess.

I use my "X" for those little pieces, too. Totally comes in handy. Hadn't thought to use the bone folder, but I trace my letters with a ballpoint pen before removing the clear layer to help cut down on stickiness in the wrong places.

Aside from Xyron, I use a glue pen (my favorite is Sakura) too

If you know there will be lots of little pieces, you can make the paper adhesive (xyron if you have one) just put it paper side down and cut the letters in reverse (maybe mirror image) otherwise you can use the xyron X or I like the Stampin Up glue pen.

I love my Zig 2 way pen for this. I use the roller ball tip one.
