Fiskars triple corner punches

Has anyone had any trouble with consistant punches? My punches are new and are already sticking. Have I made a terrible mistake. I look forward to any guidance. smgrimes

My older Fiskar punches have always given me trouble - triple corner and border punches. My new ones are much better. What I've done is REPEATEDLY punched thru multiple layers of waxed paper to loosen up the punches. It works, but takes LOTS of waxed paper to work. I read on SCS somewhere about a product called Punch Doctor (sorry, too early and I'm too lazy to search for the link :(). I've never tried it. In desperation, I once sprayed a punch with WD40. It worked but left a greasy residue on the paper, forcing me to punch scrap paper several dozen times before it disappeared.

Good luck!

I have some punches from Fiskars that work great and others that don't. The ones that stick seem to get better the more I use them. I have two of the corner punchers and love them. I can't stand the tiny ones that you squeeze with your thumbs.

I find the triple corner ones don't work well on anything other than pretty thin cardstock. Certainly quite a bit lighter than what I use for card bases, so I don't use them as much as I'd hoped. But I use them enough to have been worth getting them - hope you find the same. I used foil quite a bit to try to sharpen them - but that's because I know I used too thick card the very first time!
