Thanks for your input!

Love my cricut. Don't have a cuttlebug, though. The embossing factor is definately enticing. You know this crowd, they'll tell you to get both!LOL!!!!!

Both! I love them both! Got my Cuttlebug with a 40% off coupon...Got my Cricut at Michaels when they had it on sale for $139.00 So I got a great deal on both!

I think it depends on what you do more - cards or scrap-booking. I love the cuttlebug for cards, but the cricut is really wonderful for scrap-booking - die cuts, titles. I know you can use it for cards too, but I haven't done much of that yet.

I have the Cricut & a friend has the cuttlebug. If I chose one, it would be the cuttle bug. But that is because I do more cards than scrapping.

I have both and use them alot! Each one has its own special features. Just remember that the Cricut does not cut anything heavier than cardstock. The cuttlebug however will cut chipboard.
I certainly could get along without them, but they are SO much FUN!

The Cuttlebug. I just don't see myself getting the use out of the circut.

9kids 06-05-2007 03:01 PM

I have both, and wouldn't want to part with either one! I'm primarily a scrapbooker and I use the Cricut on almost every layout, either for diecuts or titles. I use the Cuttlebug to emboss backgrounds on photo mats, as well as using it frequently for cards.

I have both but reach for my cuttlebug more than the cricut. The cuttlebug does embossing plus chipboard and other heavier stuff that the cricut can't do. The new 12 X 12 cricut sounds pretty cool and it does lightweight chipboard. Of course it's also $369! If I had to pick only one, I would go with the cuttlebug!

I have wanted to get one or the other too. I was thinking about the cuttlebug because it is not as much $$. I like the fact that you said that it cuts chipboard.
thanks for all the info.

Cuttlebug, cuttlebug, cuttlebug....I have both but always seem to use my bug. I have so many alphas for the cricut and just dont seem to get it out to use it.
I know that I have to have it though..lol. Bug is so great for beautiful embossed cards...
Just my 2 cents worth.

I just got my Cuttlebug after considering both as well. After reading
ALL of the CB FAQ's thread. I was convinced. I only do scrapbooking but after seeing what this little machine can do, I just went today and bought
tons of stuff to start making cards.
Everyone here has been a lot of help and I now know that if I have questions,
someone here can answer them.
GET THE BUT!!!
You wont regret it. The embossing....now thats GREAT.
I want to start making my own cards from now on.
As far as the price between both machines, there is quite a difference and the accessories for the CB are cheaper also.
Hope this helps. :)

Cuttlebug. Not that I have either but having played with both the cuttlebug was just SOO easy to use and so much fun. I want one now.

I say get the Cricut if you are a scrapbooker and a Cuttlebug if you are a cardmaker. I have both but use the Cricut for all my scrapbook pages. I love how I can make the font in 11 different sizes. Also, if you get the new Cricut Expressions it cuts chipboard, too.

Good luck deciding!

Kerryann96818 06-18-2007 05:15 AM

I've been wondering about this same topic. Guess I'll be investing in both machines eventually!!!

mandadw 06-18-2007 05:19 AM

i have the cuddlebug and i like it but the font is SOOOOO small!! they were doing a preview of the cricut at Sam's the other day and i think i am regretting buying the bug now :( i still like it but it's not as great as i thought it would be!!

Barbie 50 06-20-2007 05:03 PM

Try getting a few alphabets from Sizzix. Some of those fonts are a little bigger.
