when I cut several sheets of paper w/ my carl sometimes I get pieces that have little thin slivers hanging on. like it cut the paper twice. once where it's actually cut at, and again just a hair over from the edge.
has this happened to anyone else? I'd love to know what you did to fix this problem. I love this cutter, but it's no time saver if I have to re-trim 1/2 of what I'm cutting. KWIM?
I don't have a Carl, but I've used one before. It didn't do this. Are you making sure you're getting your papers good and tight in there before cutting? I'm wondering if they're slipping just slightly while you're cutting.
I have a Carl RT 200. I haven't had that happen to me.
I would think you might have to hold down the bar tighter so the paper doesn't move.
Also remember to turn your cutting mat around and replace it when necessary.
I have an RT200 and have had this happen to me when I'm trying to cut a stack of cardstock that is too thick to cut in one pass and I have to run the blade back and forth to get all the sheets cut. I figure it is just me being unsuccessfuly holding a thick stack of CS still.
