That's where I am. If I get a really, really good deal I would buy a couple of more. I really, really want the Pooh font, but I'm holding our until they come down in price like the other Disney ones did.
Quick question: What are Tamya cars:confused:
By the way, you won't get tired of your carts

Which theme cartridges do you mean? I happen to be in the Dallas area at the moment, and I know there is Hobby Lobby nearby. It may be worth a trip to see what's on sale!

Hi!! Yesterday I was sooo busy cleaning my house, swim lessons, family night, and just being a mom. I finally was able to play with my bug at about 10 pm. It's on my blog if anyone wants to see.

Hi!
Well my kids enjoyed their first day off from school under the watchful eye of their Jr. College brother. That's not as glamarous as it sounds. My kids are 20, 17 and 11 (next week). They stayed home and "rested" while I was at work, although the 17 year old started Varsity Football Conditioning yesterday. I'm a special ed aide and I work at a year round school. Next year my school goes to traditional schedule and I'll be on the same days on/off as my kids. I can't wait until my time off from work in July, but it's still a few weeks away, LOL!!
My parents are celebrating their 48th wedding anniversary and I'm really at a loss of what to purchase for people who can afford and have just about everything they want/need. So I made an anniversary card using my Cricut of the Mickey and Minnie couple and I'm going to have the kids bring them Chinese food for lunch tomorrow. My parents are self-employed and work out of their home, so I think this will work. I'll pay for lunch and they get to have time with the kids. It's actually hand having two other drivers in the house.
The rest of this week will be spent prepping for DD's birthday sleepover Friday Night/Saturday. Should be a lot of fun, this is the first sleepover party she's had, we've invited 7 other girls her age. DH and the boys are thrilled to be taking off early Saturday morning to help our Youth Pastor move to a new place.

Hi!
Thanks, the card was fun to make. Mickey and Minnie are 5" tall, and the card base is a half sheet of cardstock.
My parents actually bought the Mickey and Friends cartridge for me for Christmas. So I had DD call Mom and ask her which was her favorite couple, Mickey and Minnie or Donald and Daisy. Actually her favorite characters are Chip and Dale, but they don't quite work for a romantic card since they named their burros Chip and Dale.
First time in 15 years of making Christmas lists they actually bought me something from my list, LOL!!! The Christmas list has been a running joke between DH and I, because we usually get a set of sheets for our bed, which is always appreciated, but is never on the list they ask us to make. Although my parents do a great job of getting things for the kids off their lists. I was so surprised that they bought the cartridge, especially since DH figured they wouldn't buy the cartridge so he bought it for me too. For 24 hours I had two Mickey and Friends cartridges, and I quickly exchanged DH's for the Mickey Font, ROFL!!!!
Just like the Paper Doll cartridge I am amazed at how many images are on this cartridge and the Princess cartridges. There is a message on the Cricut Message board that Paper Dolls 2 is coming out end of this year, early next year. Is anyone else already making out their Christmas list?

Cynthia--I'm supposed to be getting Paper Dolls soon. My aunt had gotten rainchecks for them (one for me and one for her) at Michaels when they had a sale a while back--but she hasn't sent it to me yet. Soon--I hope!

I KNOW! And that's what's making it so hard to wait until she sends it to me! LOL! I haven't been able to get her on the phone--I think they are at the beach--to see if she's actually got the carts yet. I have some things to send to her, so maybe if I box them up and get them sent, the two things will pass each other in the mail? 8-)

Please email me. Thanks!

Yes, the paper dolls are easy to use, but there are so many other things on that cart. Using 'Real Dial Size' on this one is very, very useful!!!

LOL!! I'm so sorry.
I couldn't wait for it. When it first came out, it was only available in the bundle of 4 (Zooby, Printing 101, Paper Dolls, and Jasmine). It was $200, but I HAD to have it. The only place that had them was A.C. Moore, and we didn't have one of those here (and no online orders with them then). Cindy P from here on SCS lives near one, and she got it for me. I think she figured out how desperate I was. LOL!!!!

Questions
I ordered the cricut expressions from ebay and it was shipped yesterday. Trying to learn as much as I can before it arrives.
Questions:
Does the cricut expressions cut chipboard?
What is the biggest box or bag you can make with tags and boxes cartridge?
What are your favorite cartridges and why?
Thanks in advance for any advise.

Does the cricut expressions cut chipboard? Yes. You can do it using the multi-cut feature.
What is the biggest box or bag you can make with tags and boxes cartridge? I'm not sure about the size, but you need to have the 12x24 mat to make them bigger than the ones that can be made on the little bug.
What are your favorite cartridges and why? I love the carts that have many options and image (Zooballoo, Paper Dolls, Dreams Come True, Animal Kingdom, New Arrival, and such). I like to have a lot of options.

Has anyone cut vinyl lettering with their Cricut? You know, the kind you cut out and stick to the walls? Is this hard on the machine and blade? Also, where do you find sticky-back vinyl?

Yes, I have. It's not hard on the blade at all. It cuts sooooooo easily! I get my vinyl from here - http://www.signwarehouse.com/shop/me...ode=VOR6311510
I bought 12 different colors.
Here's a post on my blog that shows some of what I've done.

She has the Disney carts so we were playing around with making different borders, embellishments, backgrounds etc.....just learning the machine and all the different ways to cut things... she just got hers too... we cut on vellum, designer paper, card stock just to practice with different layers we noticed a difference between textured and smooth card stock... but we worked it out. It was so much fun and easy... it is so amazing how easy it is to change sizes...etc... FUN!!! I'm excited for my carts.... and machine to come now. The fit to page and fit to length makes you a rock star right away too... YIPPEE
I'm a chipboard junkie so that is exciting to know that I can cut that too... now to find that button.... hmmmm

Wow- cute layout!!!
I am excited- my LSS is offering some classes on the machine so I am signing up for the July session, I am happy to learn more about my machine.... I think I will use it more.
And- they have font cart in a new packaging- just the cart/key pad for 15.00 less then the boxed carts... but it is just fonts. They are 39.99 and the other carts are still 55.00, for what I have seen, these are good prices...

trick for letters??
I was wondering what you have all found that is really great to adhere letters. I am attaching with glue on the end of a toothpick and putting letters onto shadows this way........ it really takes a while and holding with tweezers too.
I would think there is something that would work better....... enable me.

I use my Xyrons. I use the small "X" for the smaller letters and my 250 or 500 for the larger ones. They work great! HTH.

Do you have problems with excess adhesive around the edges? I have a small Xyron (the "x'), and when I run stuff through it, there is always extra gunk...

I didn't read the earlier posts, but my vote is for the Sakura Quickie Glue Pen. Someone on the Cricut site a long time ago recommended it and that's what I use for small pieces. I have converted most of my friends to using it also.

now I did try the Xyron 500 but something seems to have happened to it, it won't turn, so then I tried my X and it worked, seems like there is a lot of waste.
As far as the extra gunk..... use an adhesive remover that SU sells, I believe it is 1.95 and works great.
Anyone else have tricks?????

I use an embossing stylus or a dry ink pen to trace around my 'Xyron-ed' letters on top of the tear-away plastic--this helps the plastic pick up that extra adhesive when you tear off the plastic.
I've been using a Quickie glue pen for my Cricut letters and tiny pieces and such--it works great!

I find if you take time to burnish the letters/ images before removing the top part there is no extra gunk...it seems to work well for me if I am using my x or 900.
