Found this link on the Cricut message board referring to the new software!

edit: oops! I didn't realize it was a selling site, but the information is still good. And the explanations and pictures really help understand what this will do. Love that you can choose which size mat. It also gives the requirements for use. Now to figure if it will work on our machines.
That is some wonderful information and wonderful software. I wonder if it will allow you to overlay cuts?? Example when you cut "AT" next to each other to me it waists paper. It cuts out the "A" and then cuts the "T" in the next whole space. If I were to punch them out I would move the "T" over towards the "A" to save paper. If the program will allow you to "overlap" cuts you can tell the machine where to cut the "T" so it saves paper. You could turn over an "L" so you can get two of them in less space than side by side like "LL"
Does that make sence?

Ok Kathy, here's the name frame I made last night:

http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...5486?nocache=1

I ran downstairs and *quickly* grabbed it while ds and his friend were behaving, LOL!!!! I've made this frame and taken it apart 3 times, so I guess that the third time is the charm, after all! I was at Michaels last night getting ornaments for our family, and saw that they were having a sale on the Jolee's, and was able to find some to inspire me! Thank goodness - I needed it, LOL!!

For my family album I am trying not to make the pages too girly since my 3 boys are in most of them, too. Hmmm. I'll have to think about this one!
I eventually want the both of the princess carts, and I only have a ds. I want it for all of the extras, plus I can use the princesses to make cards for ds's friends that are girls, etc. Does that help, LOL!!!!

A digital photo frame would be cool, but you could also scrap him a frame with the family in it, too.

It does let you weld the letters and arrange them I wonder about flipping...Good question. I think the Ebug lets you rotate and flip a cut. reverse for sure

Yes, I preordered Stretch Your Imagination about 6 weeks ago, I think. It should be here within the next week or so, right???

I still have not preordered the software. I just have bought so much for me already and I thought maybe that would be a great birthday present in January.

Did you happen to notice how much they were selling it for? And wondering if they allow coupons there? I love that store and always go when we are in Utah visiting family.

I'm not chirping, but I'm assembling some of the circles I cut the other day.

Going well.
I plan to take a pic of all of them in a big pile so be patient. . .

I'll be chirping pretty soon. I finished my sister's book today and I am going to start on one of my neices book's tonight. Wish me luck!!!

I bought my DH a photo digital frame at Walmart tonight. It was $67 and was 7 inches. I think that's a pretty good deal. I hope he likes it. He has no clue!

The assembling isn't nearly as much fun as watching the bug cut it all, lol!

HTH its a scan of the cut out pages from the manual in the cricut message boards, I think it will be up in the cricut products on Monday.
JK crafts has this simple image

Default December Cricut Challenges

Hey it's December and time to post some December cricut Challenges, and time for someone to step up and volunteer to do January.

1. Use a Cricut Die Cut in a new way on a Card. For example a flower as a scalloped mat for a stamped image. this is a think outside the box assignment.

2. Make an altered item as a Christmas gift for a friend or neighbor, using a Font cartridge, and using the Qbee box pattern from this post.

3. Scrapbook a page for Thanksgiving or Christmas, Using a diecut border and a font from any cartridge.

4. Make a Thank You gift or card using your cricut for someone who did you a kind deed/or gave you a gift this Holiday season.

I hope these are okay I have never done this before.

Great challenges, Kathy! Thanks!

JK crafts has this simple image
Don't count on it being posted on the cricut website on Monday. Last I checked they didn't have Joys of the Season posted yet and that one has been out for a while. I haven't checked in a few days to see if they posted the stuff so Joys may be there now, but it wasn't earlier in the week. Provo Craft is really slow in posting the stuff.

Looks like fun to me. Hopefully I will have a little more motivation to create and do some of these. Thanks for posting them.

Hi. I'm new to these boards and I just got my Cricut Expression. My boyfriend gave me my holiday present early!
I love it, but I am having some trouble getting a hang of the settings. What blade depth, pressure and speed to you usually use to cut cardstock? How about paper?

Welcome, kindergartenteach. Check the FAQ thread for info about blade depth, speed, etc. The gurus on here can help, too. I'm just a rookie also but I know I found that info in the FAQ thread.
