By the way, I was just thinking of doing this to the Cricut package that is to be from my MIL, although mine isn't wrapped yet. LOL

Heard on theToday Show this morning that cookies from companies track what you view and will up the price if you come back to check it again. They suggest using a different browser when you return to a site. I always thought that prices where always the same. Debbie

To me, that would just make me not want to buy the item. Now, if they lowered the price because they are tracking that I'm checking on item, I'd probably buy it.

I suppose the Custom Crops sale was over the other day but they didn't change the price until they got in to the store. That's too bad they wouldn't honor the price though.

hi all. I got my cricut last night. It's the little one, but I still have one. My friend wanted a serger (for making clothes) and I had one. Well, she had the cricut and only used it one time and didn't want it anymore, so we traded! The only problem is that she only had the george and basic shaped cartridge. So now I need to BEG for more cartridges for christmas. I played last night and I LOVE MY CRICUT!

What a great trade!!! I need a serger, too, but would never think of trading one of my precious bugs for it!

I am in the middle of moving my entire stamping area around. I wanted a better place for my new bug. I also needed a place I could lock and keep the kids out. Hopefully DH will be home for lunch today to help me move the big bookcase in from the other room. I put my bugs inside my sewing cabinet. Now I just have to keep the top of the cabinet clean so I have a place to put the bug when I want to use it.

Will the orders from CX have a shipped notice or will it just show up at my doorstep?

The picture in the handbook appeared to do both. I'll go check again

Okay I looked at Accent essentials Yesterday also. It was AE that had the scalloped square and circle. The scallops also look tighter then Mini Monograms, plus the notched circle I think would make a good edge for an image, man I need that cart.... Anyone who doesnt want AE let me Know

FYI, I was worried b/c I recieved my second order which was just carts before the machine, my first order. So I called, left a message and was promptly called back with tracking info. The lady was soooooooooo nice!! I am so happy all around with my purchase and will definitely be buying from them again on customer service alone, not to mention the great prices. I wish they had more Cuttlebug embossing folders in stock!!
Wow!!! That's great news about their customer service! My order at CX still says processed, and yesterday was a week after it was placed. Hopefully it'll show up early next week, at the latest, LOL!!! I'd like to call and see if I could get tracking info, but I know that they were probably bombarded with orders. Trying to wait patiently, LOL!!!

I got mine yesterday. I got the carts first, very funny! However I have been playing with just Plantin Schoolbook which comes with it. Trust me you will have plenty to play with with just the two carts that come with it! I love mine! My kids came home from school and they love it too. It was so funny watching my 11 year old son cutting out his name and shapes. I am surprised at how easy it is to use! Did I mention that I love it!?! Thanks to all you enablers. I almost bought a different machine, not so easy to use. Thank you thank you thank you!

I ordered last Wed and I'm still waiting, too. Man, it's soooo hard to wait - especially since my mom, who ordered them for me, said that I don't have to wait for Christmas to open them!!! Hopefully we'll both get new carts soon!

They aren't taking phone orders right now. I don't think they will resume phone orders until Dec. 3rd. So you might could get right through.

She wasn't really "interested" back then so I just showed my sister. We got my mom a Cuttlebug during the visit and she played with that the entire time we scrapped. It was cute!

My goal was to do the "hubby shuffle" an hour before my DH got home from work today but he surprised me and showed up for lunch! I love seeing him here but the house is not really that clean. I've only worked in my stamp room a little, too. The kids make a mess, what can I say??

Our AC Moore has 40% off on Cricut products so I went in to look at what they had. Well, they forgot to take down the weekend sale price of $299.99!!! I'd been on the fence for a long time, don't go out on Black Friday, and this was an 'omen' or the devil tempting me. So I picked it up: the bundle with the four cartridges and inks. It's not as good a deal as o'brien's, it works for me. Dh was with me, but claims not to have seen what it cost. Got home, opened it up and tried it. Dh says "Wow. Guess I really don't want to know what that cost!" But he drove me to the store. Too bad he walked over to another store while I shopped and missed the excitement. Honestly, though, he is good about it and as long as it makes me happy, he's okay with it. He just keeps saying that he wishes the stuff for scrapping wasn't all made in China. Sorry to ramble. I am just so happy and of the four carts with it, paper pups is in the original plastic while the other three are just in little compartments with no plastic! So maybe Paper Pups was an add on special from the original plan for the bundle. It doesn't matter~I am happy. Now all I need is the software to weld words...always something more when you are so addicted! Had to share my good fortune.

I agree! I just barely got my bug and now I think I need doodlecharms too! I don't have any Christmas carts yet. And this one seems to have a little from all the holidays. Some one talk me out of it!

Ditto! Doodlecharms is an excellent cartridge. All of the seasons, most of the holidays... Baby stuff... School stuff (bus)... It was my first cartridge and the most used.

I'd rank this pretty high on the "must have" list. I bet they'd sell more Cricuts if this cartridge was the included one.

Doodlecharms has a wide variety of holiday cuts and all year usage items. Cannot talk you out of a great cartridge.

What about Jasmine? It is for 35 as well.

And I have a curious question. Are there any that you would recommend not getting? Maybe a dumb question.

LOL..... Maybe someone should start a disabling thread for those in need.

I was reading KATH's post and I think we disable ourselves, with all our own guilt, My DH does the same but he doesnt get the guilt when he diecides to get something,a nd lets be honest Tools that they use less than the cricut cost more, so I think in the long run we are even on spending and We use ours more.. so enough of the guilt. If you can afford it why feel guilty about it.

Jasmine would not be my first choice. In fact, out of all my 26 carts it is probably my least favorite. I do love the photo corners on it, though. The letters are very intricate and if you cut them under 2 or 2 1/2 inches they tear easily when cutting. HTH.

But Robyn withthe soft ware and the merge it is going to be a Beautiful font for words. Molly used Jasmine on that wedding album she did and it was beautiful. I think you'll use it more when your DD's are older. Chunky is great when they are little but proms and older girl stuff, Jasmine is very nice for then.

I am in need!!!

I totally agree. My dh is into model airplanes and airplanes (he has a two seater, I can't remember the name). Now there is an expesive hobby. I can usually get whatever I want without complaints. They spend way more than we do.

Robyn, I have Jasmine as one of my first cartridges since it was recommended by a fellow scrapper to do heritage layouts. I picked up Cursive when I heard about the welding software since I love the scripted laser cuts.

Kathy (jostvig), I have no guilt!! He has his ultra ride on lawn mower and his ultra snowblower toys plus he saw a Rival RS180 Smoker for meats that he just picked up to try.

He just says he wishes our toys were made in the USA not China. His toys are 99% made in USA.

However, having been brought up Catholic, guilt is just part of everyday life. So maybe my posts have a tinge of the everyday guilt coming through. I sleep well at night so I am not feeling the guilt!

The thing is that I was on the fence waiting to hear rumors of maybe a Cricut with the software already inside. But, I couldn't pass up the 'deal' and tossed out the wait for the hands on fun.

I am feeling joy at having so much 'stuff' and being able to use it.

So now I need to BEG for more cartridges for christmas. I played last night and I LOVE MY CRICUT!
Welcome! I only have the baby bug, too. Hope you're able to get some carts for Christmas, too.
