Sorry, I forgot to answer about the best deals on them. I have read on here that the best price right now on the original bug is at acmoore.com. They are $129. The best price that I know of on the expression is $299 w/free ground shipping from hallmarkscrapbook.com. I purchased mine from them and received great service.

I would have to agree with the post that I copied from Robyn that if you can afford it go with the expression. She and I both thought that we didn't need the expression and would be content with the little one. We both ended up getting the expression (after already owning the original) and absolutely love it!

It is software that hooks your cricut up to the computer. You can design templates of what you want to cut before you cut and use different carts.
It has a merge and I believe a flip feature. It lets you weld letters together when they are cut. You can save the template or share it with wome one else. when you cut it tells you when to change cartridges. the only draw back it shoud be enabling on carts it lets you see all the options ofr a ll the carts when you design a template, then you have to own the cart to cut it out. I know I am going to see things I want to cut that makes me want to buy more carts. Kim is selling it for 60+ shipping. she's the sheapest I have seen retail is supposedly 90. Its called Design Studio. I really like the idea for designing a template and saving it to cut later on my computer. Figure that willsave time when I scrapbook for all my kids and grand kids. I think the weld feture will be fun too. I think you can weld letters but I am hoping it lets you weld objects also so you can spell snow qith a snowflake as an "O". I am just not sure if it allows that. It comes out Dec 1st along with Paperdolls Dressup and Stretch Your Imagination, both carts which I think I am getting. PC has a little spiel on the software at their website.

OK, I think I am going to splurge on the Ebug. I have some stuff on Ebay now, and plan to sell most of my Sizzix dies. That will hopefully cover the cost of the Ebug, plus I won't feel guilty about getting a new toy.

The design software sounds cool. I hope it is user friendly, as I am computer challenged when it comes to stuff like this.

Default Mickey colors

Has anyone figured out the best SU colors to use for Mickey & Minnie? I still haven't used this cart, as all the pieces are a bit intimidating. I will be starting an album for our Disney trip as soon as I finish up the one I am working on now.

I just use Blush Blossom for the skin tone. You could probably use creamy caramel, too.

You will definitely love the big bug!!!

Two questions: I have had much trouble with ther eindeer antlers, cutting at 1.5 inches- on the Cricut boards someone else said they have not been able to get them to cut as well. I can just snip them off and put the layer on, but wondering if anyone has solved this problem.
Question 2: How do I find cards with Die cuts on them in the gallery? It seems easier to me to come here and scan the posts if people post cards then link to them- Like Shell did with the baby shower centerpieces (Beautiful, by the way!).
Thanks for reading this long post!

Wow! Thanks!

Hot wheels I have posted a couple of post on this thread and in my blog about the markers. you just replace the blade housing withthe marker and draw then hit load paper again and repeat last with the blade in it leaves a thin line border on the drawing. I made two cards one with cutting and one withthe mickey & friends and hand cutting. they are posted on this thread earlier and in my blog. HTH

LOL Robyn & Amy, I am not weakening that much, I have a hard enough time convincing myself to buy another cart much less that I need a newer bigger and better machine. That is a hard one for me to overcome. It will take a while for me to join the club, If I do!
I will definately be joining the Paperdoll Cart owner club!

I am waffling on the SYI, this time when I looked at the pictures I didnt like them as much.

Thanks so much!!! My son has wanted to play with it today but I won't let him because I don't want it ruined before school. Maybe I should make him another one?? It took us about 30 minutes to complete it.

Hotwheels I searched the post and:
post #3131 is about using the markers on vellum and acetate
post # 2891 shows the two cards I have made so far.

I think that is all that is posted about markers here. There is more on the cricut Message board at cricut.com! HTH

Did I forget to tell you all that I bought the black and brown markers at Walmart on Friday?? I played a little but I'm not sure how I feel about them. After I drew with them and hit "load paper", changed to a blade, and hit "repeat last" it didn't line up perfectly. I'm very OCD about that stuff.

It worked perfectly for me. Maybe you should reverse the process cut and then marker? Its just hard to get the marker in sometimes with out making a mark on the paper.
Did you change your settings to 3 & 3 on the dials. Did you change the setting when you cut? that might effect it. I used thinner cardstock because I didnt want to change the settings for the paper. Maybe you need to cut twice without changing the settings. when I drew the duck I had been doing cutting of heavy cardstock and for got to reset the dials to 3,3 that is why those linse are so fat.

You are exactly right! I'll get right on that. I love using my bug for decorations!

I'll try it again. Yes, I changed the setting because I usually only use SU cardstock. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Robyn your turkey cowboy is way too cute! I haven't heard of the paperdoll cart (I am sooo out of the loop!). I'll have to check it out. I am closer to getting the e-bug. I made $250 on my auction yesterday (woo hoo!). I am listing all my Sizzix dies today, so that should bump me over. I can't order anything until I physically get this stuff out of my house.

Did you see that Hallmark Scrapbook has the e-bug for $299 with free shipping and it comes with two cartridges?

Thanks Kimberly! I am wondering if anyone will be having the ebugs on sale for Thanksgiving. I seem to remember I got a great deal on my little bug last Thanksgiving. Knowing me, I won't be able to wait, though. I am sooo bad!
