I love mine and use them *all* the time.

Thanks for the heads up. I will order the regular size ones as I have the original cricut so small dolls with small pieces wouldn't be a good idea. You just saved me $.

Another question. Does anyone think that we can use the new pens on vellum?

Thanks again.

Then maybe I should keep mine and give them another shot?? I was just thinking today that I would try to sell them in the original set. They have barely been touched. I have so many tools from my SU days! I bought every accessory in the book and now I find that I only use a few of them. We usually just stick to what we like. I'm a simple scrapper and stamper so that is why I love the Cricut. Hmmmm. I'll have to decide about that one.

I'll check you all out when I'm at my DH's office. I'm going to bring my Ipod again to take my mind off the sound. The laughing gas helps, too, but I got a little silly last time. I'll have to keep my giggles to myself.

LOL, I hate the stamp pad lid thing I can never get enough ink on the lid...
Okay I'll re think the whole use it more than my cricut thing, but I do use my limited water color pencils alot, and I am thinking the WWC will be used, alot also.

Good for DH... I know how you hate the dentist (I am wondering if you can really say that anymore...LOL), but a toothache is definately worse... Hope he takes care of it for good.
Too Much Motrin is not a good thing!

Thank you for trying it. I hope it works. If it smears, I hope that at the very least we can do one letter, let it dry then the second letter, etc. I really wanted to use the Stamped cart with a simple word like Loved or Imagine. It would be great if we could journal or make invitations, but would be happy with one word on vellum.

Thanks again for trying this!

marker on vellum,
The marker worked really well on vellum. I on the other hand mananged to tear it shutting my paper cutter. I used the torn piece any way. I didnt cut it out though. The little smear on the end of the word was my finger checking it while it was still drawing. ameared just a bit. When I took it out it didnt smear though.
So then I thought I wonder how it would do on an acetate bag from SU.
It drew really well. It smeared for a while after setting though, but when I heat set it it didnt smear but it kind of melts the bag. I did draw a hat and another word and I tested it after sitting an hour and it smeared. So I am waiting to see if it smears tomorrow. HTH I tell you if the hat or Its your day smear tomorrow.

Hi girls. It went GREAT yesterday! I'm totally out of pain except for the soreness that happens after a root canal. My DH did it in 45 minutes!! I'm so happy that he has all the latest equipment and specializes in my problems. LOL. I'm sure I will need another one in the next month. I grew up on soda pop and sugar and now I am paying for it.

I think that I am going to scrap for a bit today in the middle of chores. I have so much laundry to put away. I'm still debating on giving the baby my stamp room for a few months. We will see.

Have a good day everyone!

Glad to hear your doing good Love to see what you have time to make.

I am missing my stamp room, But I get a big smile on my face everytime I walk by it, MY DD#7 is keeping her new room so clean. I think I am going to start taking out sheetrock on the other room today.

Oh I just took over alot of my Family Room. So Its there, but right by the door everyone uses to come and go. I often get a draft that is getting colder as the weather changes. BUt it also makes me keep it cleaner because everyone sees it as they come to visist. I would rather not have everyone see my stuff. KWIM. I might have to move to the other side of the room, but that is where we usually have the christmas tree. but right now it still needs arranging. I picked this side becasue the shelves were onthis side of the room and I could use them to organize my stuff.

It is so neatly organized Robyn I hope you find a place for it. I have a long table and actually put the shelf I usually have on top of the table under it so I could stack all my containers on it. The table is wide enough that they dont interfer with my feet. Hope you find a solution you can use.

I knew you did that, but it's not quite the same as having your own space. I know what you mean about not wanting anyone to 'see'. It would be hard for me to give up my room not that I've had it for almost 3 years.

Great ideas! Turned out really well! Do you think that clear embossing the ink on acetate would work too? Not on the cello bags, but on a window sheet?

Glad you're feeling better Robyn!!! Hope you're able to get in some scrapping time today! I'm wiped out after yesterday, and my ds brought his friend home with him after school today, so I don't know if I'm going to have any energy later, lol.

Zactly, I really loved having my own craft room, but for now this works, .... Like I said before in not too many years I am going to have a separate sewing and crafting room They grow up and leave way too fast.

Okay, I just talked to DH and he doesn't think I should give up my stampin' room. He said we will work it out with the baby. We are only going to be in this house for another 1 to 1 1/2 years and then we will at least have one extra room in the next house. The boys can all just share!! Plain and simple. I am touched that my DH is so supportive of my scrapbooking and stamping. I honestly think that he doesn't want me to have my stuff downstairs. We lived like that for 4 years when he went to dental school. I took over the entire dining room. I think it is still a touchy subject for him.

Sounds like DH has learned the cardinal rule of marriage...
"when mama isn't happy, isn't no one happy"

You could probably keep a few of the baby things in your craft room if you needed more room in the boys room. ...Uhm...Buthow much do the boys need anyway. i find the more they have the more their is to pick up= less time to scrapbook..Hmm!

You could probably keep a few of the baby things in your craft room if you needed more room in the boys room. ...Uhm...Buthow much do the boys need anyway. i find the more they have the more their is to pick up= less time to scrapbook..Hmm!
Well, we do have the playroom downstairs so they don't ever play in their room anyway. I don't know what I was stressing about anyway. It's all good!

Yeah, they sure do. It's sad and scary, isn't it??

I am touched that my DH is so supportive of my scrapbooking and stamping. I honestly think that he doesn't want me to have my stuff downstairs. We lived like that for 4 years when he went to dental school. I took over the entire dining room. I think it is still a touchy subject for him.

LOL!!! Well .... whatever works.

He thinks you are an awesome crafter - and I agree with him. I'm glad you don't have to give it up.

Thanks for experimenting for us.

I think that I am going to scrap for a bit today in the middle of chores. I have so much laundry to put away. I'm still debating on giving the baby my stamp room for a few months. We will see.

Have a good day everyone!
Glad to hear that you are feeling better Robyn! I hope that you were able to squeeze in some scrapping today.

My kids are home from school today because of Parent/Teaher Conferences so I am just going to make it a lazy day. I really need to prepare for my Cricut Swarm. It's a week from tomorrow!! How fun is that going to be?? There are 12 of us going so I will be making at least a few new friends that are local.

Hope you all have a great day! I'm definitely going to skip housework and just craft with my kids!

Has anyone bought the Cricut paper or plans to buy it? I love the pictures that are shown with the cartridge, but was wondering if it was worth it for the paper.

First let me say sorry if I'm posting where I shouldn't be and if I should post elsewhere please let me know. I don't have a Cricut, but my mom wants one in the worst way and we've thought about all going in to get her one for Christmas. I was wondering where you experts think the best deal is on these right now? We'd like to make an educated decision about not only the price, but the value of what you get with some of these. I've checked QVC and Joann's and Creativexpress, and I'm sure there is lots to compare before buying. I would so appreciate your imput. Thanks for you help.

Sounds like a fun day. I used my cuttlebug and made 12 cards last night 2 sets for 2 different swaps.

Funny I make 12 christmas cards to get 10 back. Sounds like I am losing ground on christmas cards. Oh well, I am hoping to get some cute ideas to case for this years mailings.
