I don't think I am going to get in any cricut time today I have been working and I had to start the process all over again but what I was doing didn't look good; a bunch of trial and error for the past two days! My new system is working great now. I should have resorted to my stamping supplies a long time ago!! I basically made a mask of the design I am working on and then used my ink and dauber!!! I was tracing with a pencil and coloring with a pencil before. Duh~!!!

HI ladies! I have missed a bunch. I can't believe Kathy has figured out how to do chipboard. That is so way cool, and the main reason I was even considering the 12x12 model. I am so excited I could just about wet myself (LOL!!!! ). Great pricing on the cart, Wendy. I do believe that is the lowest I have ever heard of.

Welcome to the new Cricut owners! You guys will love your new machines. They are the best! To the gal who was on the fence about getting one, you really NEED one if you are a scrapper. I am a scrapper as well, and this has made getting layouts done a breeze.

No Cricut time this week yet . We have another busy week, so I will probably have to wait until the weekend.

Default Expressions pre-order

Croppin Paradise is accepting pre-orders on the Expressions machine and the new carts now. They are selling pre-ordered Expressions at $349.99. I have ordered from them several times - they have great service and fast shipping. Their website is www.croppinparadise.com

Thanks for the info Lori. I'm not going to go with the Expressions. I am going to try to be happy with my little bug.

I hope you are all having a great day. I haven't Cricuted a lot but I have been making a TON of cards and blogging.

I'm still on the fence about the Expressions machine, Robyn. I love the existing machine, and the size is great for keeping on my work table. The only reasons I am even considering it is for the chipboard and the larger TBBM sizing. With Kathy figuring out the chipboard cutting on the existing machine, that reason is gone. I honestly don't think I can justify it for the TBBM sizing. If I do decide to get it, I will probably wait at least 6 months, just to see what the reviews are.

I am not sure, but I think only the new cartrisdges made for the expressions will make those sizes. Has anyone heard otherwise?

I'd love bigger boxes etc. but I think both cut 11 sizes, 1/2 sizes for the originial cricut and 1 inch sizes for the expression (1-5.5) and (1-12) respectively

Caitlin - I think the sizes are a feature of the machine - not the cartridge. That would mean that you could cut any of the sizes that the machine cuts with any of the cartridges.

I'ld wait a year, just because thats when the cricut finally started to drop in price.
I know kim selling it for the 349.99 also, so why not wait a year, to see what michaels and even walmart comes in at.KWIM remember Michaels dropped the price on the reg cricut by about 50% off MSRP that would mean you ought to see it on sale in the future at 200$-300$ easily. I think they will opt to carry the smaller cricut inthe future over the large one, plus I wouldnt be suprized if they get a new updated small version after the expression to offer the same screen and rotation in the features.
Thats what I am doing for the same reason. I think that more of the disney type carts are going to be made, they would work great in the expression also along with TBBM.

This sounds interesting. My son has those markers, so I will have to give this a try! Where is the original link to this technique?

I don't know what I am doing wrong. I tried this...cut then hit load paper, but it took it clear back to the end of the mat and I had to set paper size again to get it to cut. Any suggestions?

From what I understand - you can't change the paper size for that tech.

So you have to use a 6x12 piece of paper or at least have the paper in the upper right hand corner of the mat?

You cant set paper size you have to load the paper in the top corner of the mat where it rest when you load the mat in the first place. That is the only way it will work! then cut what you want and the hit load paer and then repeat last. other wise you'll never cut in the same place.
