Okay that worked. I cant find my camera to take a picture, but I cut then hit load paper, cut then hit load paper and then I cut again, right throught the chip board. I also did the marker first but I didnt have the rubberband right. then did the cutting I have a nice purple edge on my cut, I just cant show it to you because I took pictures at the party and pictures of my daughter with her chick and then I put it somewhere, in the house just not back in its case. I'll post a picture
later but mom2twins please post this technique in the Cricut sticky thread I will do it if you want but Since you had the technique right you should do it.

I win! I win! I think I get the gold star for best deal on a Cricut cartridge. Our Roberts was having an in-store special today on four of the cartridges (ones we have all seen on sale before) - Christmas Cheer, Celebrations, Stamped and Tags, Bags, Boxes & More. Are you ready for this?? They were $25/each!! I already had Stamped & TTB&M. I snatched a Celebrations. Not sure I would use the Christmas Cheer one so much! I wished I had had everyone's phone number with me at the time. I woulda called y'all to see which ones you wanted . . . it was kinda picked over, but there were a few left!!

There you go, I never thought if that! I did think about leaving the other digital, but was afraid evry time you wanted to use it the batteries would be dead, which is the reason we got the new one

I'm a scrapbooker first and then card and gift maker. Oh, I don't know! I think the small original cricut is great for all scrapbooking and card making needs. If you don't need something bigger than for a 12 X12 page or a card front then the original cricut is totally adequate.
How well does it really work with SU! cardstock? yes set to 5,5,5 Also - can you join script letters to make cursive?yes opposites attract join when you attach to the page or several carts have preset sayings that are joined, I also think future carts will have this feature! Does it cut anything other than paper? Yes foil, vellum, now chipboard see later post Thanks in advance!
I think it depends on if you want to cut bigger things if you want bigger larger then waiting for the new expression would be a good bet, but the original one is smaller and portable and a better fit if you plan on taking it to scraps and using it other places or if you crafting space is limited. tried a coaster, not so good, I had to set the needle to 2 toload the paper becuasse it wouldcatch the paper because the coaster is so thick. It cut fine going around the circle until the last 1/6th of it an dthen the coaster slipped. The mat kind of hangs down away form the edge when the coaster is not fully under theblade and it separates from the mat. I could try again with a different shape and supporting it a bit so it doesn't separate I'll try that tomorrow. Two pieces of cereal box would be thicker than my coaster.

I am going to try to find a way for it to work if there is a will their is a way. I figure you would havve to cut a coaster 3-4 times. where as a ceral box only 2 at the most.

well I stayed up and tried I think somewhat successfully to cut a coaster.
This time I think I used my coasters which are slightly thinner then the coasters you mailed Cnnie. I think they were med weight coasters. I need to check that. I recut 4 times. It cut all but the one layer of paper. It peeled right off that layer and left very little evidence of tearing paper. I took a picture of what I cut and the coaster so you can see. I think it worked well. what was cut was slightly thicker than the cereal box, and less thick than the coaster Connie mailed in her RAK. HTH I would do it again.

I will let you know later tonight. Sorry again!!!

No ... repeat last just loads the same cut you had before - example <flwr-2> - and lets you cut it.

Oh, that's excellent, Kathy!! Thanks for experimenting for us and reporting your findings.

Yes, I am, Good Morning.
I am west of the twin cities about 40 min. give or take a few depending on the speed you are driving and traffic

Yes, I think I want to make a small book, but we'll have to see if I get time for that.

I think I'm going to call you our resident Mad Scientist, Kathy! LOL!
