I figured I'ld bestuck also, its too bad, I notice she doesnt say she throws in free stuff anymore so I dont know if I will get any freebies. I guess at this point i would rather pay Kim and extra ten dollars and be able to change my mind occassionally. KWIM.
Does anyone have Stamped, and do they like it? I might have to trade my TBB&M for it or CC. I'll post how it turns out, I really wanted to switch the TBB&M I bought from Super gal for ZOO Or WIMG.

Default Hi jthoman

Maybe we are related. DH oldest known relative owned an apple orchard in Ohio. Some came from east coast. Small world. I am off to do daily chores not much playing today.

I agree.... just remember that your friend will know that you are just putting the book together for her and that you did the originals... whatever is added by the guests is what they are doing... not necessarily what you are doing... she will know and like Kathy says, it might just be an inside joke....

she will love what you do and appreciate the time and effort you are putting into her book for her....

If anyone knows her have her contact me. Thanks
see post #644... I bought from her and got the stuff about a week after my payment posted... she mailed them out on a Sat and I got them on the next Thursday... she hasn't left any feedback yet and that was still like, I think the last weekend in March is when I bought the stuff... I got 2 carts and then she combined shipping and then also threw in a pack of blades and a pack of mats....

Well I got one back in the mail today. It was a simple design just an ivory "george" flower on a light teal card (her wedding colors)

The recipient had put a unicorn landscape sticker over 1/2 of the card. The card inside had matching unicorn landscape paper glued into it for the note to the bride/groom.

I am so upset. I spent weeks getting those mini cards together! I wanted simple designs since the scrapbook would also have pictures (obvious) and embellishments to come. Every one of the 30 cards was different and unique. I'm so sad I just had to vent to you girls.

That's very sad to me, too. I'm sorry. Someone, obviously, didn't know what they were doing.

We went to the park today - beautiful day - and I'm hoping to work with my chirping friend later today.

Just a note ... Dody (Beachbound) was able to use her Joann coupons for *shape* carts today!!!!!

Thanks for the "tea and sympathy" ladies! I'll be able to work with it. (Afterall we have those nifty library pocket envelopes on the cricut it can go it. I was just sad at having my work changed. The wedding is in nearly a week, so I be posting pics soon after I hope!

That is an amazing deal at Jo's, I wonder if they'd let me do that. Thanks for the tips. Great cards and layouts as usual this week! You guys are getting intimidating

Shell (or anyone else) I have a TON of embossing folders for the CB and I am happy to send you some if you'd like.
I have: D'vine swirls, happy birthday, bloom dots, snowflakes, heart blocks, textile, tiny bubbles, flower circle, and stylized flowers:

Hello Gals-

I just bit the bullet and bought my Cricut from Mike's for $139 on sale. It was the best price I've ever seen, and I simply couldn't pass it up. Hey, I just sold a bunch of retired sets on the Bay and made $100, so I really only paid $40 for it, right?!?! (someone please support my crazy rationalizing!!) Anyway, I've made 2 scrapbook pages with my George fond already, and am L-O-V-I-N-G this machine!!! Whoo-hoo! I haven't scrapped for 6-8 months, and am on a roll now! Just wanted to introduce myself, and subscribe to this thread.

Welcome April! Congratulations on your purchase. And yes you really did only pay $40 for it if you sold all of those sets. How's that for rationalizing? That's certainly the way I look at it. I've only had my bug for a month and I love it. Be sure to post pics of pages that you used your cricut on. We love to see them!!!

My mom and I sat down tonight to make cards for the VT card collection. I've been so saddened since the tragedy on Monday that I wanted to do something. I have made a few cards before tonight and my mom has never done anything like this, so I hope they are ok. This is my first attempt at using my cricut to make cards and the first time I am uploading anything. I used the George cartridge and the & symbol at 2. Have a great night everyone.

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I just got my Cricut. Michaels has their cartridges on sale & I want to get a few. I would love some opinions on Opposites Attract & Jasmine. I'd like a cursive font & can't decide. Does Opposites Attract connect the cursive letters when you spell out a word?
Which is more versatile? I only have the George so far & am hoping to get Mini Monograms too. My kids are grown & I don't use many child type images anymore in scrapping.

OA doesn't attach the cursive unless it is one of the pre-selected words (eg. thanks, the) there are more, but I don't have the box in front of me. You can attach them yourself by cutting the tails carefully. I LOVE it! I can post the pages I've done with them later at nap time! My friend has Jasmine and it really does beautiful pages! I plan on getting it too eventually!

Welcome April! Congratulations on getting such a fabulous deal on your Cricut, too. I completely understanding your thinking about only paying $40 for it. SEveral of us have Ebayed stuff for new Cricut goodies. They are basically "free" then, right?! Glad to have you with us and enjoy your machine.

You have come to the right place for Cricut questions. I have both carts, and us the OA more frequently. As Heather mentioned the only words that cut attached are the pre-selected words on the cart. It is very easy to trim the "tails" and attach them, so it looks like it is one word. I used OA on this page, cutting down the tails. I also like that it offers a couple different styles with the font. The "Opposite" feature will give you thicker letters that stand upright and the "Upright" feature gives you the cursive style font in an upright letter. I hope that helps.
