Also, I do not own ANY di-cut machines or accessories. I was kind of hoping for something that did it all and kind of simply. LOL has anyone created that yet?

Greetings, Gerti
I created these one-page sample files for Locker Talk, Paper Dolls, Joys of the Season and Stretch Your Imagination and put them here:

http://www.tweetster.com/cricut/

They are available in PDF and JPG formats. The PDFs are much larger files to download than the JPGs. I used the long image files available at many of the online retailers and then just moved things around to fit on an 8-1/2" x 11" paper. They print out nicely. (The JPGs are sized at about 600 pixels wide by 762 pixels high.)

What a bummer! I just checked out the Joys of the Season cartridge because it has the 12 Days of Christmas, and it has the wrong words for the last 4 days. It would be OK if you cut the words and numbers separately, but they aren't correct the way they are grouped. I've seen the wrong words lots of times, so I decided to check. How disappointing!

I've been busy working on stuff for Christmas lately, I see that I have a lot to catch up on here! I finally took some pics and did some uploading. Here's a pic of more pages from my chipboard coaster calendars:

http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=28610

They're so easy to make! I can't wait to get the paper dolls cart (for many reasons, lol), but it will be fun to do calendars for next year with that cart!

This is the closed view of the card I made for my cousin's 40th birthday card. Amy (hart2heart) was soooo generous to let me borrow her brand-new paper dolls cart to make it!!!! Thanks Amy!!!!!!

http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=28610

The view of the open coffin is in my gallery, but I don't know how to attach more than one thing in a post. I've had this idea in my head as soon as I first saw that there was a coffin on this cart, LOL!!! I can't wait until she gets it this weekend! She's also getting a mug that I found at Joanns, of all places, that says "Still hot, it just comes in flashes" LOL!!!

Kim has them the cheapest as far as I know. Here is her web address....

http://www.freewebs.com/kimskorner/index.htm

I believe if you order before Christmas you can get $5 off. She normally sells all her carts for $57.50 and that includes shipping Priority.

Me too! (Plus the two Papertrey Ink stamp sets.) My stamping room currently holds all of the presents that we need to take to Iowa so I don't have much room to do anything. Although I think I'll tape another big box together and stash more presents in that and then move THOSE boxes somewhere else.

I'm all set for Christmas with my parents tomorrow. I'm making turkey pot pie (DH says it is BETTER than Banquet's.) Both of the salads are done, the pumpkin bread is done, plus the turkey mixture is all set. I just need to pour that into the crust, put a top crust on and then bake for 40 minutes! The bad news is we are supposed to get 5-10" of snow tonight. So my parents might NOT come down tomorrow.

I scrap 12x12 also, for the most part. I have the baby bug, but would love to have the big one! I think that if you're using it in a teaching setting, for bulletin boards and such, you'd probably like the large bug, too. I think that there's cheaper prices online for it, but I'm not sure where exactly. HTH

Thanks! Someday when I get my paper dolls cart, LOL, I'll start on some for next year. That cart is going to be great for calendars, and pretty much everything else, too LOL!!!!

Questions: Does any of you know the steps to cutting chipboard thru the DSS? I'd like to experiment with it but don't want to damage my Cricut!

Can someone help with with setting the paper size? Unfortunately my instruction book is "somewhere" in the midst of Christmas here in my stamp room...

Multi cut I believe. I just use chipboard and put the paper int he upper corner cut and then hit load paper and recut and then I reapeat thesesteps until it is cut.I use cerealboxes or cracker boxes as chip board.HTH good luck

Well, my eBug arrived last evening, and my son said don't wrap it--just use it! SO--I DID! Fun fun fun! I need to SERIOUSLY clean my craft/computer room, and figure out the best place for it because it was much longer than I really was expecting. But that's a good thing!

I'll probably end up playing and not doing my baking like I planned, but that's not all bad--less calories to consume! How many calories can you work off using an eBug?

You did the right thing by using it right away. I love my ebug! Right now I'm making 11 mini scrapbooks for my family for Christmas (yes, waiting till the last minute). I got the design studio which is fantastic. I'm able to weld together the names of the families instead of cutting out each letter one by one and pasteing them to the pages.

I don't think you really burn off a lot of calories scraping BUT you don't consume any calories because your hands are so busy you can't bake, eat, and scrap! Sounds like a new diet plan!

Mine installed without any problems either. I've also noticed that the bug cuts slower with the software, but that doesn't bother me. I've learned to use a new or pretty sticky pad for the paper when I'm using the design studio. I've had the paper come undone in the middle of cutting and have stopped the bug on the bug machine instead of the computer. The computer didn't like that for some reason so I had to shut the whole thing down and start over.
Also I think the instruction book for the ds isn't the best. I've had to play around to figure things out for myself. Anyone else feel the same way?

They're so easy to make! I can't wait to get the paper dolls cart (for many reasons, lol), but it will be fun to do calendars for next year with that cart!
Those are super cute! I bought a BIA just for that purpose. Thanks for posting those. Where is a good place to buy chipboard coasters? If you know a store where to get them that would be great. An online store would be fine too. Thanks!
