She said she was going to put it in her dance bag pocket and I said no, do not put it in there or it'll get all bent up. She said ok, I put it in a magazine and that was that. Well on the way she decided I don't know what I'm talking about and put it in her dance bag pocket anyway (she is 10 so she should know better). By the time we got to class the head had come off so she couldn't give it to her teacher. We'll have to make another for next week. I was so mad, not because the doll broke but because she did what I specifically told her NOT to do. KIDS!! This is the same kid that made me quit looking at the alphalicious cart a while back. lol.

Actually now that I think of it, maybe I should laminate the finished doll before we give it to her teacher...
Oh no, that's too bad. My ds has times when he does whatever he feels like...and he's only 4. So you're saying it doesn't get better, lol?

Morning everyone!! My bug chirped last night! I had to make 60 10 inch Christmas trees for a church party. It took me about 2 hours to do it all. I'm so glad that is over. I love using my bug bug I don't like to mass produce things that are not for me. You know what I mean???

Today my baby boy is 1 year old!! I'm going to take him to get pics today and then I have to work on stuff for a church dinner tonight and get his birthday stuff ready. We are celebrating as a family after dinner since I will be gone tonight with the girls in the church.

Hope you all have a great day!

You replace the blade with the cartridge so that you can draw the image instead of cut it.

I am curious to see what you do with it. I didn't get it from CX and after seeing your creations might be kicking myself, but my mind couldn't think of what I would do with it. Remember I am a new bug owner.

Hi. I just got a Cricut a few days ago (early Christmas present from DH), and I have a few questions. Can I use repositionable spray adhesive to extend the life of my cutting mat, or will it gum up my machine? Also, have you had much success in cutting thin chipboard? Thanks.

Welcome Scrapjanny!!!

You can get your mats 6x12 at Walmart for $7.97 and blades for the same price. Hobby Lobby has them for 9.99.

Good luck and have fun with your bug!

Happy birthday to your ds!!! Have fun celebrating! Glad you were able to use your bug last night, were you able to do any crafting for yourself, too?

Welcome! Ditto on the not using any spray adhesive, you don't want to mess with your warranty. I havn't tried any chipboard yet, but I have the origional bug, not the ebug. HTH

They're $9.99 (for the origional mat size and the blades, too) at Joanns, and you can use a 40% off coupon at Joann's.

Laurie, Kim Emailed me today!
this is what she said:
"It came through today. I don't know what the problem was. I didn't get either of her e-mails and they didn't go to junk either."

Sounds like you should be hearing from her.

Crazy question. Do the 6 X 12 mats work in the ebug? I couldn't get mine to work. It looks like you have to have one at least 12 wide to fit under the wheels, but wanted to make sure.

Thanks so much. She did get both of mine from two different accounts yesterday. And one was just forwarded so nothing was changed. It is really weird about the other ones, but it does happen. She has contacted me and everything is great! Again thanks for your help.

I actually watched some of the videos on cricut.com. And you can not use the smaller mats on the ebug but you can use smaller pieces of paper.

Yes, you can use the small mats but you need to trim some off the edges so they will fit. I would be careful though because your big bug will think it is using a 12x12 mat and could cause some problems if your machine cuts over the mat and on to the actual machine. OUCH!!
