Now it was Ellens review of this product that got me. I HAD to have this machine. When she discovered that you could use the small fiskars embossing plate in her machine by using parts from other mahines I knew this was for me. It is so hard on my wrists and hands to use these plates.
So I bought the bug and brought her home, set her up and started playing. I do not have the parts from the other machines that Ellen has so I improvised by making a shim out of pieces of carboard, boxboard and chipboard. I just continued to play with the thickness until it would go through the machine and emboss the paper. When I got the right thickness I used the ATG 700 and glued them togther.
I hope this idea helps any of you that have caught this little bug but do not have the other machine to use for parts.

My MIL got me one for Christmas! I was so excited when I opened it. They all laughed at me because I kept saying, "I got a bug!" I have already ordered an alphabet die set and some embossing folders. Now I have to wait for them to get here to play.
I got mine for Christmas from DH! He bought it for $59.99 at http://www.happyscrappinscrapbooking.com/. They ship fast and have a good selection! I just ordered some more A2 embossing folders and dies I could not locally find. I ordered yesterday and they shipped the same day!!!
I'm loving my Cuttlebug - it's even better than I thought it would be!

Yep - went and picked it up at Michaels yesterday with my 50% off coupon. I had the same experience that several others have had. At first the cashier said I couldn't use the coupon because it said Cricut on the box. I just had to explain that it says "from the makers of Cricut". Then we were both all smiles.
WooHoo!!!
BTW - my DH is excited about using it too. Even encouraged me to purchase some alphabet dies on eBay last night.

and it has some great embossing templates that I have not even seen before PLUS when you read about the company, they appear very "customer friendly". Thanks for the link
I found the Michael's add Monday night(Christmas) after reading about it here. It was in the Sunday paper. Just one sheet with a 50% off for both Sunday and Tuesday. I bought the Cuttlebug yesterday and used a JoAnn's to buy a cutting template. I don't have any other die cut machine so this is my first. Tried it out last night. Works great! I will try to use my fishker's embossing plates now.
My DH got me a cuttlebug for Christmas I'm already having a blast playing with it. He also got me the swrils and curls alpha and a couple embossing patterns. Love it, Love it, Love it.
I do not get the flyers where I live so when I go in I ask if there is a coupon on. If there is they let me have the coupon but I have to fill in a form stating my name and postal code. If I have someone with me who is not buying anything I will have them get me something also. I just about always take advantage of this because I drive 45 minutes to go to the shopping area. I will even use it on just blades for my cutter because there was nothing BIG that I wanted......but now my collecting spirit will always have some diecut that I will need...

The Michael's 50% off coupon was in the coupon section of either Sunday (CHristmas eve) or Monday's (Christmas) newspaper. I think it was in Sunday's paper.
