I just perused a ribbon site, with a bazillion choices....this could get costly. Does anyone have a recommendation for where to get grosgrain and other kinds of ribbon?
Try saveoncrafts.com I just purchased a roll of 100 foot white grosgrain ribbon, that I can dye with my markers, for only $6.99 plus shipping. This way I can get any color I need and it will match my paper.
I just ordered from ******************.com, and I must say, the prices were really competitive. I should be receiving my order soon, so I'm not sure of the quality, but I can let you know if you want me to once I get it. They do have large amounts available, but I only bought the 5 yd rolls, which for grosgrain, was only 90 cents per roll. Hard to beat that price (that was 3/8 inch). At least check the site out to check for yourself!
Earlier this year a group of us got together and put in a huge order for grosgrain from theribbonfactory.com. They give you a break when you order reaches a certain amount and their prices were good to begin with.

I have lots of ribbon about 1-2 yards in length. I am looking for a way to store/display them that doesn't take up much room. Any ideas?

I just purchased a long thin round piece of wood (about 2 feet) and place it on mounted brackets that can open. All my SU ribbon fits perfect. I hung it right near my workspace so it is in easy reach. Total coast $6.98 cents. And it looks cool. I wasn't going to give SU that kind of money (I can use it for more stamps..LOL) for ribbon holders. Also, some people I know use big/shoebox type of boxes and punch holes through so the ribbon just rolls right out. Good Luck

For smaller pieces of ribbon, I use CD cases (the older, thicker variety). I cut a piece of cardboard or chipboard (like the back of a note pad) to fit within the CD case. I wrap the ribbon pieces around the chipboard and encase them in the CD case...they are clear so you can see what is inside, and storage is very "compact"...pardon the bun.
