Default Are Gelatos melting fast?

Hi
Has everyone experience with leaving Gelatos (the ones from Faber Castell not the Italien ice cream :o) in a very hot car? Are they melting? I'd like to take them with me on holiday but fear to ruin them. Right now there is up to 40 degrees Celsius and our stuff will stay quite often and long in the car.

Why not put them in some kind of insulated container so you aren't risking it? I know that it takes only 10 minutes or so for the interior of a car to get way, way hotter than the outside temp, so a longer period of time would definitely be an issue. You could even use a re-freezable ice pack, if you thought you needed to.

I can't speak to gelato but when I bought Distress crayons while vacationing in Texas they were kept in a zip-close bag inside a cooler. Kostbifbtge tine it contained freezer packs and chilled beverages but sometimes it was empty.

The crayons were undamaged, although the final leg home was from Tennessee to NY.

I would also recommend a cooler. For anything that is wax-based. I think I would likely put my prismas in a cooler as well. Just to be safe.

I do not understand how "Most of the" became "Kostbifbtge." However, tine for time is just bad typing/aging eyesight!

Hi everyone
Thanks for your answers. I decided to leave them at home as I have limited space and often not even electricity to cool something down.

FYI: the trunk of the car is somewhat cooler than inside the actual vehicle. Still would use a cooler though.

Make sure you dont leave a cutting mat in the car unless its 100% flat. I had one that I jammed in amongst other supplies. The heat warped it then it cooled that way. Even though I tried to reverse the problem with my heat gun, its never been flat since.

I am taking off to travel in our 5th wheel and I will be in the same situation at times...I bought a soft sided cooler bag, reusable cold pacs and will have heat sensitive things kept in there, out of the sun...Inks dry up, crayons can melt...Somethings need to be stored differently...
