I just discovered this morning that the small size Sterilite Drawers (Shopko, Target, Bi-mart and others carry them) are the perfect size for the dies and the embossing folders and all the little piece of extra things I want to save. The plates sit on top of it and it is all in one place now.
I very carefully took a craft knife and just cut away the top portion that protrudes over the dies on the front. That way I can keep them together in the package they came in and just slide them in and out. I put the packages in a see-through storage container a little larger than a shoe box that can also hold the plates and embossing folders. ~lorraine
Great idea about the sterilite drawers! I only have one alpha, and I cut the plastic cover only halfway down so the dies will slide in and out easily, but will pretty much stay put. I about amputated a finger or two doing it, tho. That plastic is so strong!
I have 5 sets and they fit perfectly in a tupperware super oval 3, with room to spare (gosh, enough for a 6th set!) I kept the insert and use that "around" each set to make it a bit easier to pick out what I want.
I was cleaning out my garage today and came across an old floppy disk storage case that is both wide enough and tall enough to store both the alphabet dies and the A2 embossing folders! I should clean more often. This was a wonderful find!
