How silly is it for me to want a Cuttlebug even though I have a Cricut? I've been hitting the gallery and Im in love with all of the beatifully embossed cards you all have made. The Cricut is the first die cutting system I've owned, so Im not a hoarder or collector. And wow, look at me already trying to jutsify myself! I will say that I read here that Cuttlebug is on sale on 3/2 and 3/3 at Joann's. Ugh, there I go again!
It is going to be on sale, but if you hold off you can get it at Michaels next time they have a 50% off coupon and it will only be 40 bucks....that is how i got mine and I love it!!

I got the cricut for x-mas and then I fell in love with all the embossed cards here. I bought the cuttlebug with a 40% off coupon to help me from not feeling so guilty. I use both so I guess that if you realy love the embossed look then go for it. They both are great!!!!!
I got the Cricuit for Christmas from my mom & dad for scrapbooking. I just bought the cuttlebug last week and totally love it!!! I was in a scrapbook store over the weekend and showed it to the owner, she never heard of it. She has determined she needs one now!!!
Is that what you call it, hoarding (LOL). Well I guess you could say that this could possibly be what I have done, but not intentionally, hoarding that is. Purchasing the 7 different die cutters is intentional. I love a good sale and I especially love being able to go downstairs to "my space" and craft anytime and almost anything that I want whether it's for myself, family or friend. It's kinda impossible to got to the craft stores at 2 am when the light bulb in your mind comes on, so I decided that it would be better to have what I need when I need it. I'm still debating on purchasing the Cuttlebug. I read in another post that the Big Shot will emboss the Cuttlebug folders as well as cut the dies so maybe I won't purchase it. I have however ordered the folders from Joann's because M where I live does not have as many to choose from. The only reason why I may feel a need to purchase the Cuttlebug is to emboss the brass stencils. I have a ton of them and would love to be able to emboss with out a light box (even though I have one) and stylus. In that same post about the Big shot , there was mention about the use of a mouse pad to assist with embossing the brass stencils, so naturally I will try before I attempt to buy. OMG! I think I might be hoarding.... Thank God for DH, cpns, and clearances.
Oh oh there is NOTHING silly about that. My BD is coming up and my sis is getting me the bug and I told my DH that I really want the cricut....it is definitely on my wishlist....gotta have both........I can finally sell my sizzix, sidekick and 2 of the sizzlet fonts...they are way too small and I hardly use them....
I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I got the Cricut for Christmas and I love it...but I want the cuttlebug to do the embossing....! Thanks everyone for helping me justify my thought process on this!!

I think they are such totally different machines that it is perfectly justifiable to have both. Now.. if you were talking about buying a Cuttlebug and you already own a Big Shot, that might be crazy. LOL (No offense to anyone who actually DO own both.) I don't think I'd even compare a Sizzix to the other non-electric die cut machines. I like the machines that roll the die through to cut because you get a more even cut. So if you own a Sizzix and some other non-electric die cut machine.. that seems potentially necessary. LOL
