Copic X-Press It paper issues?
I recently bought some Copic X-Press It paper to try and I'm finding the inks are getting all blotchy when I'm colouring. It sort of looks like there are little polkadots inside the colour. It's hard to explain but the colours are just not even.
I'm used to using Neenah cardstock and I don't have this problem with it. Does anyone know if I'm oversaturating the paper or something else I'm doing wrong? |
i had the same problem the first time I got it and that is why I haven't used it since. I hear a lot of people love it so maybe we got a bad batch?? curious.....

Thanks. I'm thinking it might be from oversaturating but I'm not sure.
The speckled look looks great for animal fur but I'm not happy with that for other images. I'll stick to Neenah for now. |
I found the same issue with Gina K paper. I haven't used my X-Press It yet. My paper of choice for Copics is Prism Simply Smooth. It is an awesome paper!

Morning, I have been using the Copic paper for a while now and the problem you are having is over saturation. You need to let the colours dry if you over saturate and then begin to blend again. This should cure your problem.:)
