I have worked for Michaels for 9 years, and in my experience, sometimes they will bring something new like this, in a special pack or as a seasonal item (which this is) as a test, then if it sells well, they will keep it or expand what they carry. Take for example the prima flowers. Started with a few skus on the designer corner scrapbooking area, and now in 2 locations (at least at my store) and have several other skus! So the best way to encourage new products is to buy these test products from them instead of other places which you may used to buy from. so ladies buy them up! Also, if you ever leave comments in a survey (when you get a survey on your receipt) about new products we should carry, that should help. they do read them!
