I have built most of my collection by purchasing markers in lots on ebay.
I've purchased loose markers on carpediemmarkers.com, Ellenhutson.com and Blick. A few times a year if the sales align at Michaels, you can find art supplies at 40% off and then use a 20% coupon for a really great price.
Scrapbookpal.com has them for $5.24 each and free shipping over $25.
Dick Blick is also $5.24 but you need to order quite a bit more to get free shipping.
My main method has been laborious, but it works for many colors. I got a large part of my collection at Hobby Lobby one at a time. They are $7.99, but you can use the 40% off coupon, so I stopped there every day after picking the kids up from school and bought one marker for $4.79 with the coupon until I had every color they carried. It was on the way, so it didn't cost me extra in gas.
In case anyone is interested, I am selling the 140 Copic Ciao markers I have for $3 each. I am willing to give a 10 percent discount on purchases of 10 or more Copics.
I believe I have one of every color. As I purchased most of these from another person, I really have no idea how "full" each one is but, as most of you know, these can be refilled. I have tested both ends of the markers and each end works well. They have been stored horizontally.
I am too impatient of a person to be able to invest the time for the learning curve. I have found my colored pencils and watercolor pencils work best for me.
If you are interested, send me a PM with your email address letting me know what colors/numbers you want and I can send a Paypal invoice out to you. Payment would be expected within 24 hours unless you request an extended time for some reason but will be expected within 72 hours. First come, first served in order of PMs.

Hi Brenda, I'm not sure how to PM you...it's been a while since I've been on this site... but I am interested in the Copics.. how much are you charging per pen? or by set? Are you willing to ship to Canada? Please get back to me and we can see if we can work something out.
Thanks,
Amanda H. ([email protected])
Stampin"T" - in case you haven't come across this info before, Sandy Allnock sells a hex chart ($6, I think) that can save you from purchasing markers you may not need. There are some surprisingly similar colors. Of course, her videos also show color combos you may not have considered; it's not always necessary to have the ones that are numbered sequentially.
Thanks to those of you w/suggestions. I built my collection some time ago, but now need refills.
I used to do some of my Copic purchasing @ Oozak, but it's become a bit of hit-and-miss there. So much is out of stock. Still, I would recommend checking it out; if he (Rusty) happens to have just what you need, he has decent prices. (e.g. refill $5.70; sketch $5.00). Don't know how that compares to the other sites suggested.
Since he's out of what I need, I'm off to check out the sites suggested. Also, I remember getting some markers from Carpe Diem; at the time, they were a good source too. Haven't ordered from them in ages though.
Looking for refills now too. Have only 100 colors, but love my copics. So thank you all for the updated info on great guys. Think I'll look at the hex chart mentioned to help me choose what refills to get first.
I have stopped ordering my Copics from Dick Blick. I have had a problem with dried out markers in my last 2 orders. I have never had any issue with the ones I get from Scrapbook Pal.
I have only received dry ones when I purchased them in sets. So annoying :(
I have heard some artists on YouTube mention that some art stores will refill your markers for as little as a dollar. Seems like it might be a good option for colors that are not used as often. Does anyone know of stores that do this?
