hmmm..... I regisitered and mine weren't 4.15. I'm wondering though if that is a random thing, because although it implies there is a discount at the top of their page, when you see the create an account info at the bottom of your cart it says "you might save more. Somebody let me know if I am just not understanding something cause I am ready to place a fairly large order and would love to get a better price. Thanks!

I just placed an order with Oozak.com. When I first logged on, the price was higher than $4.15 per sketch marker (can't remember what it was, but it was high). Then I signed in, and the price was $4.15. If you're not seeing that price after you log in, call them and see what's up. As I understand it, once you register, you should see the $4.15 price.

Good Luck!

Well I got my question answered, I still don't know for sure what I did wrong the first time when I created an account, but straight from the horses mouth (Rusty at OOZAKs says, "In order to get the special pricing I offer on many items, you have to be
logged in. To login, click the login link in the upper right hand corner.
Once logged in, your name will appear in the name badge (HELLO! MY NAME
IS...). To register/create account, if you have not already done so, click
register in the name badge instead of login. So just make sure you log in and you get the copics at $4.15 just like Michelle said :+) Thanks so much Michelle if you hadn't posted, I wouldn't have known to try to figure it out and wouldn't have gotten the discount. Now that being said, the wise thing would be to take the savings and run. But oh no! I can't do that! I have to figure what I saved now and use it to get more copics! Thanks again Michelle

Thanks Bejoyce, I just wish I'd been smarter on my first big order! But live and learn and maybe my mistake will help someone else. I just love this site and all the wonderful people on it!! Hope you didn't take my copics though Bejoyce, I'm ordering what must be some popular colors cause they were out of stock last time. I mean I'm appreciative of all the help I get on copic chatter and all, but takin my copics could get ugly, LOL!! BTW, I mentioned this thread and Rusty says Hi to all SCSer's . If you haven't ordered from them before, I can tell you that the service is amazing. They respond quickly to any questions emailed to them and update you on the status of your order, pkging is great and shipping is quick! Now I best go order.

Never fear, I'm sure I didn't take your Copics! LOL! I only order about 13 or 14 at a time, just enough to get free shipping, and there were plenty of the colors I ordered in stock. I love my Copics, too, but they are a little pricey, so I've just gradually built up my collection. I have about 90 markers now, soon to be 104!!!

I keep telling myself I don't need *ALL* the colors. Did you know there are more than 45 shades of gray???

Just sayin' - I got an e-mail from CarpeDiemStore.com and they have a sale right now on their Sketch Copics for $3.85 for any of their "repeat" customers. So if you've ordered from them before, you can get this great price until Friday, July 30.

I have a chance to attend a Copic Certification class this coming Saturday, in Lincoln, NE, which is 3.5 hours from where I live. I'm not planning to teach, nor do I own a store, or business. I would just attend to learn techniques for my own card making projects. Should I go? I have to decide tonight. Can anyone please help me decide? Hubby says, "GO!" so I have his blessing. I'm just having a tough time deciding. Please help!

Yes, I vote GO, too! How great to learn what the teachers teach! And, I've been told that the best way to really learn something is to learn it as if you have to teach it. GO GO GO, and then share

Definitely go to the class. I went to one last year and it was fabulous! I wasn't able to go to the "certification" class, but went to 2 classes the day before. I loved it and would love to attend the certification class some day.

The basic certification class has a lot more product knowledge and buying/selling information that is geared to store owners and their employees.

I would suggest to contact your local stamping/scrapping store and see if they have an instructor for a COLORING techniques class. You can look on the Copic Dealer locator for stores and also the instructor lookup for those who have already been certified by state. INSTRUCTORS COPICMARKER.COM

And there are some of us who travel.

There's a Beginner Certification class on September 16th in Minneapolis that just opened up to the public (and is not full yet). You can find all the details HERE.

Hope that helps!

Hey Gals!

Been playing and I know everybody is looking for SQ colour matches.

I used the R80's to make something similar to Melon Mambo on this cards:

Emergency Flutterby Instructor by guitargerle - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

I think it works not bad. I shaded with B40's.

I love your card. Left a comment on SCS. I'm so inspired by those of you who think outside the box when you're creating.

Default X-Press It Blending Card

Has anyone tried the new X-Press It Blending Card? I first read about it on Marianne Walker's blog, and finally ordered some. I hated to get 125 sheets of a new-to-me product, but Oozak had the best price by far, and they only sell it in full packages. It should be here in a few days. Supposedly it is the best for blending Copics and the reds don't bleed like they do on the Neenah paper.

Anyone try it yet?

I did buy some, but I haven't had the chance to work with it yet. I can't wait, and I hope it lives up to all it's hype.

I hated to get 125 sheets of a new-to-me product, but Oozak had the best price by far, and they only sell it in full packages. It should be here in a few days. Supposedly it is the best for blending Copics and the reds don't bleed like they do on the Neenah paper.
I have. I posted some information comparing it to other papers I use on my blog a few days ago. I also have some pictures. I am not an expert, but I liked it. It was very smooth. A little expensive, but I will probably use it, especially for things I cut out and pop up.

what colors did you get? I'm still trying to figure out the E's, Y's & R's for skin tones. Aren't Copics amazing? I love being able to paint!

Thanks for posting your comparison...it is one thing to hear from reps how great a product is, but it is also great to see someone just use it compared to other known products and see the results. Out of the 4 cardstock's you compared on your blog.. the Xpress It looked the smoothest and most vibrant to me. I bought a 10 sheet pack to try from All that Scraps today. Can't wait to get it!

Alaine, thanks for the comparison of the 4 papers. I found it VERY informative, and probably won't purchase the Copic paper. The X-press sounds interestring, and when I want to splurge (not on markers) will probably try some.

Does Ozzak have the best price, does anyone know?

Default Copic: Intermediate Certification (Chicago / October)

Who is attending? It would be fun to get to know everybody in the few weeks before the course.

Default Question on changing nibs

Has anyone changed nibs on their Copics. When I first started buying Copics, I bought a dozen, or so, Original markers and I don't like them. I love my Sketch markers and would like to change the nibs on the Originals. Is it easy to do? Or is it easy to do it wrong and ruin the marker? I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has done this. Thanks so much!!

It is super SUPER easy. I highly recommend that you have the Copic Tweezers to change out the nibs...otherwise you risk damage to the new nib when putting it in. That is really the only thing you can do wrong...pushing a nib in with your fingers or other tweezers and ruin it.

New to this site, and I guess still fairly new to copics. I've been using them for about 3 months now and am completely hooked. So much so that I have over 100 colors. Most of which were bought from Oozak. What a great site with great customer service. I'm also hooked on the Magnolia stamps and love coloring in these little cuties. I've never enjoyed coloring in stamped images until I discovered copic markers. I'm definetly hooked
