There is some talk about a cheaper option at Harbor Freight on the second page of this thread - http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...freight&page=2

Doesn't anybody do certification classes on the East coast?

We are at least as interested in learning about copics as the West coast! LOL! There are a lot of people here, west of the Mississippi River>

Oh, I agonized too (and got over it and ordered 30!!!) LOL. It was hard deciding on those (out of 322!) but everyone on this thread (and links to blogs like marianne's) really helped. I was going back and forth for weeks trying to decide whether to order the Ciao's (for the savings) or the Sketch (for the size and end labels) but carpediem's sale made me go for the Sketch. Can't wait to play....I only have 2 right now.....the skin pink and pale blue gray for shadow.

I'm disappointed. I just went to a local class from a certified copic instructor. I really didn't think it was worth it. She made us bring our own copic markers and nothing was included. It was $38, and I really didn't learn anything I didn't already know. Plus, it was only 1.5 hrs.

Don't worry. We have the continent broken into regions for the certification instructors.

West of the Mississippi - Marianne (and if I have a special event somewhere)
East of the Mississippi - Sally Lynn MacDonald
Canada - Sherrie Siemens

This makes it much easier to ship our supplies around and keep track of who is teaching where. I have to work with other industries besides papercrafting, so I will occasionally do events outside of the West Coast, like my upcoming CHA class, or I have fine-art workshops in Savannah, GA this October.

I wish I could go everywhere, as I absolutely LOVE traveling, but in lieu of a visit from me, you'll just have to visit my blog for training.

Did you let the store know this? The instructors need feedback like this so they can improve their programs.

This is very frustrating for me as well as I want to make sure I don't order something I have already and by the time I finish reviewing it is gone and I have had to start all over again. It took three tries but I finally finished my order.

Sorry I won't be able to do it on that trip, though I taught one in Charleston last fall when I had to go to Savannah. Maybe Atlanta? I know it's a bit of a drive from Savannah, but I may have to go to Atlanta in 2010.

Sally Lynn will be doing classes all over the east, so keep checking her blog sidebar.

I just wanted to share my ordering experience from Oozak.com with everyone here. In the last two weeks I placed two separate orders from them and both times I spoke with Rusty and received excellent customer service. I highly recommend using them and wish I had known about them before I purchased some copics from a LSS a few weeks ago (I just found this thread and am trying to work my way through it). I also want to thank all of the ladies on this board and Marianne for all of the tips, information, tutorials etc for these terrific markers!!! You all Rock!!!

Did you purchase these a while ago? I went last night and couldn't find them and when I asked the people who worked there they said that they didn't carry them. I wonder if you got them a while ago and they changed out their stock! Do you remember the name of these cubes, maybe I could find them online if I knew what to call them.

thanks!!!

Is there a coupon for shipping from Carpediem?
I mean 13.56 for 15 markers seems excessive don't you think?

I got 2 yesterday in the clearance section for $6.99. Those sales people don't know what they're talking about. They are called "Spacemaker X Cubes" by Rubbermaid.

Here is a link where they are cheap (I never shopped there before though). I checked Amazon and they are $14.99!

It's free shipping if you spend $80 and then they take it off manually after you place the order.

I think I'll have to look around though I just can't afford $80 worth right now.
If you can find the ones you want at oozak....they have really great (not super sale carpediemstore) prices....and the shipping is reasonable.

They will go free at $50....but now they will ship usps...the website stated something like $3 for 7 markers, just a couple days ago...but it wasn't solid language so it must have confused enough to pull it....not bad IMO...

go ahead and contact them if you want to know ahead of time...they are EXCELLENT at communication, they will even chat on skype!

Default Copic Image Swap

Since I have recently jumped on the Copic bandwagon, thanks to this thread, I find myself in need of some stamped line art images so I have started a swap. I thought I would post the info here as well since there may be some interest in with all of you to get some new images to play with. You can find the swap here: http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...3#post14598513 if you would like to join.]

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Ronda

It is Office max that sells or should I say sold them. They were being cleranced out and the mgr told me they will no longer carry them so I snagged 1 and went back for 1 more yesterday. (for future usage) maybe if you have another office max you can check. there are two brands that make the exact same style Rubber Maid and Eldon

Just curious if anyone knows if the Extreme Dry Climate (arizona desert) live in affects my markers in anyway? If so what precautions can I take to keep them working well and not drying out (aside from making sure the cap is tight)
Just thought i'd ask

I know the caps are designed so they are SUPER tight so your hot climate shouldn't effect your markers in any way just as long as you re-cap them. YIPPEE!!

Tori.... my hubby bought me a little compressor from Princess Auto for about $89 CAN. It works PERFECTLY with my airbrush system.

Does anyone know if there is a new "hand color" chart out with the new colors blocked in it yet?
