great idea Melissa, I may have to copy that. TOD

I was wondering what kind/brand of marker do you use for your white highlights?

New Dick Blick 30% printable in-store coupon for anyone who is interested.

http://www.dickblick.com/stores/prom...stcoupon_01416

I hate to say this but after my Oozak/Carpe Diem orders, I do not feel the urge. Am I well??? Even if I do not make my long-suffering dh go with my repeatedly to Dick Blicks over the weekend, if I don't go to the one two blocks from where I work over lunch at least once, I may have to have the crafting paramedics come...

Nope, that's helpful enough. I can experiment with them.

I'm getting a new snowman stamp so I'm excited!

OK, so I just got in my final order from CarpeDiem yesterday and was playing around and I can't get the marker ink to stop "spreading" out of the lines. I'm using GP CS (from walmart). I ordered some from GinaK, will that fix my problem????
TIA

Mel, is there tons of ink coming out? From what I have read on here, you need to take both ends off and let it sit for a few minutes. The pressure needs to equalize or something like that.

Do you have a blender? If so you can use that to blend out the color for when you put the shadow on.

I tend to layer colors on GP card stock starting with the lightest and working my way to dark. I also tend to push the color up to the line rather than put it on or just inside the line so to that get the "bleed" to stay within in the lines normally.

I use the Inksesentials opaque white pen. Thanks girls. I am glad you like her. It is an addiction.

OK, I'll give that a whirl. Its not gushing everywhere but as soon as I touch the paper, it just starts spreading. And its mainly on my dark reds....so far!

And I do have a blender (OK two, oops, LOL) and I tried to remove the color but it was such a small image that I got frustrated and quit, LOL! I just need to color more.

okay, guys...I have been trying to stand firm here & not order more but my hubby just said to not be silly & order them. My thing is I only think I need about 7 more so what else should I get to get free shipping. I have 89 colors now...most of the SU look alikes. My question for y'all is what colors do you use most or that you are surprised how much you use it. What can you not live without?

These are the ones I always tend to use...

RV21, RV10, RV34, RV00
R20, R22, R24, R27, R46
YR21, YR24 (I use these browner ones for animals)
Y15, Y11
G20, G21, G24
YG99, YG97, YG95, YG91
BG000, BG11
B24, B23, B21
E00, E11, E000, E31, E33, E37
C00, C1

Since I color lots of people and animals, I was surprised how much "brown" I actually use. They're the first ones I had to re-ink...I guess I colored too many Rileys, lol.

Guess I'll have to place another order soon

I just discovered that I prefer R00 Pinkish White to E00 Skin White for faces; it's creamier-looking. Anyone else use other colors for faces & skin?

All That Scraps www.allthatscraps.com

Their line of stamps is called CC Designs, but they sell other name brands too.

I use E50, E51, with R22 (I think) for cheeks thrown in.

I'm only up to whatever page this is on (about 23) so I didn't know if you had done this or not -

The wind and rain are blowing outside but FedEx came earlier (before this crappy weather) and delivered my copics. We're tucked dry and warm inside to play. HOWEVER, I've schoolwork to do so while I cut the tape open, I've not gotten in the box to get them out until schoolwork is done. I'm being SO responsible about school right now. It's really tough though. I just keep telling myself when I get teh assignment done, the rest of the day is mine, worry free.

On a sidenote, how cute is this..........my kitty is sitting staring out the window watching the rain hit it (hard). She seems to be in amazement! She's making me smile.

Have a good weekend all.......I'm sure I'll be back though......color, color, color.......NOW, go get ALL your copics and COLOR your heart out. Sorry, I get silly when I'm excited (about my copics). Seriously though, if you're not coloring, go do it, for me at least until I get schoolwork done.

Just got my new shipment of Copics about an hour ago, but like you missinkyfingers, I had work to do outside, so I went and pulled weeds in my flower beds and backyard for about 45 min. That's about all I could handle with my bad back, but it looks so much better. I need to call the yardman on Monday to come mow.

Off to start laundry and go to the grocery store. Maybe even clean house a little and then I can play with my new toys.

That's really good that you are being responsible and that truly is the best thing!
I'm super jealous you have your shipment (things coming to Canada always seem to take so much longer ;() Hopefully mine will come very soon. I have been colouring my heart out and enjoying every single minute of it!

Hope the school work goes fast for you so you have some "Copic time"

That's about all I could handle with my bad back, but it looks so much better. I need to call the yardman on Monday to come mow.

Off to start laundry and go to the grocery store. Maybe even clean house a little and then I can play with my new toys.
I just got done with my powerpoint for school, I think I'll do the paper portion tomorrow (not sure why I can't do speaker notes but whatev) so that I can have some fun time today. I cleaned a bit last wkend and through the week so I'm not doing it today unless I do it later!!

Hurry with your errands, your copics are soooo lonely! Hehehe!

Yesterday I received my new images to stamp too SO I'm wicked excited.

Trust me, I contemplated the whole being responsible thing, I was like, do I NEED the points of this paper to still get a good grade? Yep, I most certainly did, it's a 15 pointer. Which doesn't seem like much but all assignments equal 100 points so if I miss 15 pts, that puts me at an 85 providing I received perfect scores on every other assignment. Which I've done pretty well but I thought I had enough posts to get my 3 points one week and I did not. Basically, every point you lose hurts.

It's play time now. Going to see if momento ink works better than adirondak with my GP paper. Seems the weather/area has a lot to do with how inks/bleeding/paper all work together as some people do fine and others don't with the same combo.......OR.........it's coloring styles or a combination of both. Why am I wondering? I need to just go see!!

Off I go now........maybe I'll post a pic later. Happy coloring ladies (and boys).

My Momento ink when stamped onto my Staples brand cs just bleeds and the stamp lines go fuzzy. So I am patiently waiting for my shipment of Copics and Neenah paper to try the ink on that. Currently I am using Brilliance (which I love) and as long as I let it dry, heat set, or I have been embossing it with clear emboss powder (and getting wicked results I might add). But, it seems my Brilliance pad is starting to dry out a bit or something as it seems to be taking a lot more tries to get a good impression. Hopefully my shipment comes soon

I ordered the big pen organizer from OOzak and I love it! (Thanks Rick! He wrote Enjoy! on the outside of the box.)

I also ordered the Multiliners SP in black and they are great! I can doodle than color with copics with no smearing!

I'm so pleased with my purchases!
