REALLY????? I was about to order the SU $30 paper and craft scissor to use for ribbon. If these work even 1/2 as well, I'll hold off on those.

Who's going to be my support cheerleader when I get weak? I'm determined not to order any more markers before March 1.
That's only a day and 1/2 away. But I hear ya, I've been wanting to put in my SAB order...

I can't wait until I get some better paper. The stuff I am using now will hardly allow me to layer any colour. As soon as I do, it just feathers out beyond the ink Besides that though, I am liking what I have done.

Speaking of which, totally OT, but did you see that there are printable March Archivers coupons?!

Waah, I didn't get any scissors from Oozak

I'm ashamed to admit that I got mine and put them in a drawer. They kind of look like the ones my kids use in grade school. But if they work well for ribbon, I'm all over that. And FREE to boot! Gotta love free stuff.

I had a Dahle trimmer for years that I just loved, so I should have known that these were nice scissors.

I got my color match charts out and finished marking them all down on the color wheel and coloring in the little boxes when I realized that I have all of the matches EXCEPT YR02! Aarrrghhhhh! That would have been so easy to throw on this last order....
Oh well, I am sure there will be more orders, anyway.

Hi RiverIsis!
Yes, it was recent, but after re-reading the description, I ordered $50 but not just in Copics (I got a couple Neopikos...just like 3 but enough to keep me below $50 in Copics, uuurgh I would have added a marker if I'd known).
snooze you lose, I guess!

They do! (Sadly, you can guess how I can be so certain... I broke down and got it last weekend). Plus, you can double dip on coupons (or, at least the Archivers in Illinois that I go to lets me do so). Bookmark this --

http://www.archiversonline.com/coupo...Coupon408.html

It updates periodically with new expiration dates. Mine lets me use one $3 off coupon per $15 increment in my purchase. So say you buy the Scorpal for $40. That is $28 with the 30% off coupon. Toss another $2 into the basket to hit $30, and get another $6 off (two $3 off $15 coupons), so you get your Scorpal and your $2 of paper or ribbon or whatnot for $24, which isn't bad at all. Or, if you feel shy about all the coupons, just use the 30% off and one $3 coupon, which makes it $25, which is still great.

This is really not off topic on the Copic thread, since you need that Scorpal to make lots of cards for you to color with all of your new markers, which I know you have or are about to get!

I'm actually feeling pretty restrained, as I got a modest 26 markers (13 from Oozak a while back, 13 from Carpe Diem last night), bringing me to 87. Never ordered online before, have laboriously collected using Dick Blick and HL coupons, marker by marker, so the sudden infusion of new markers was pretty neat!

For those of you who are waiting - Just wanted to let you know Dick Blick is doing double off all items next weekend only March 6th-8th I received a coupon in the mail yesterday. Don't know if this is 'in-store" only or not., but it puts the sketch markers at $4.25ea which is only slightly more than some of the current online prices and cheaper than what they will be after Saturday.

Dick Blick does this pretty regularly which is how I've collected most of my markers, though I did break down and order from Carpe Diem earlier today.

WOW, thanks! You are tooo sweet! I don't think my Archiver's lets me double dip, but it may just be if I get the manager so I'll avoid her next time LOL (I recall trying it once)...now, I did look for the Scorpal there and didn't see it. Where is it? Back with the cutting tools?

Okay so I have to share a story.
My DH sent me a text message this morning that said
"Copics in da house!"

Haha! My shipment came this morning. Now I have 73.

What colors did you use?
for her skin: E00 and for her pink cheeks: E93
Her jeans: B34, B37 and B93 for the cuffs and then used my colorless blender to fade out her knee's (like all of my daughters jeans )
her vest: E93 and R22
Her hair: E59, E39, and E35
Her book was a couple of layers of E11 and the binding and her glasses were R29
shoes: E35 and E39

I added bits of grey shading (C1)along the bottom edge of her glasses to give the idea of glass there, along her shirt and wings. (c1 and c3)

Thanks, this was my first time colouring a Tilda image...I just adore her. Now, I just need to make her into a card.

right now I only have 34 markers, with another 19 on the way...sigh! It's so addicting. I can see how it's difficult to stop buying them...

See, I wouldn't of thought of the gray in her glasses, looks great after I go back and study it knowing your colors.......well it looked great before but it brings into perspective knowing what you used that I could maybe do it too. I may re-arrange some of my colors based on what you used for her.

I'm also looking at the air brush system. I've a portable air compressor that I keep in my car and for my lawn equipment. It's actully broke and DBF needs to fix it OR I need to buy a new one. SO, my question is, which one would I get if I want to hook it up to an air compressor? Anybody know? I read some of the descriptions but it didn't really come clear to me.

Thanks!

My first order was 33 (funny, one off) and the glitter pens. My order today will be like 36 or 42 depending on what I decide in the next 45 mins. They are addicting BUT look at what you did with just your 34. If you look back further I posted some of my first colorings too and I thought I did pretty good with the few colors I had but I also knew I needed a few more shades of each to make them a little better. Well, I mean, I guess I was doing more blending/shading to get a desired color so I could see where I'd like a larger variety.

I agree totally. I originally purchased 19 from one person on the BST forum and didn't even really know what colours I had purchased. Once they came I played a little but really didn't have any browns, etc. So that's when I ordered 15 from Oozak and wanted more but they were out so I placed the other order of 19 and am (im)patiently waiting on those....lol.
I keep watching tutorials and looking at peoples art to try and get the shading, etc working properly for me.

Sorry, I don't know anything about the airbrush system but Cher probably does. She knows a lot about the Copics and what not....I think she should do a little tutorial on her colouring, I would love to see her methods.

No rush on the air brusher, I can get it later. I'm doing my order now as I've got plans in a few. Gotta get that order in before end of day.

I picked up some of your E colors.........I like how her hair turned out and her jeans.

Oh, I'm so dead. I was thinking that last night was the end of the month and the prices on the copics were going up today, but today is the 28th so I still have time to place another order! I was sad when I thought I missed the deadline, but thought that would be okay because then I wouldn't spend that money, but now . . . .
