My order from Rusty should be here tomorrow and I'll have 250 total. Looks like I need to get over to Amuse ASAP!
You can go to the real, live Amuse store???? Lucky you! I used to live in Seattle (well, Mill Creek really) about 15 years ago. I still have good friends there.

I think I have ~220 so I know I'll need 2. But I can keep all my grays in a separate place if I need to for now.

I got the green one because it's my favorite color. Get the Aqua one! My friend has it and she loves it!

the amuse bucket sure is cute.

i have a deal to share on the turquoise tote (there is pink and brown too). QVC sells them for $11.95. shipping is $5.22. if you register as a new member at qvc, you get a $10 credit. so it would cost $7.17 shipped. not bad to try out something for your copics.

i bought mine at meijer for $10. but i see these kinds of totes at LSS all the time.

Wow, how many markers does your tin actually hold? I read on Amuse's website that it will hold 123 original Copics. Are the original markers larger than the sketch markers? I just purchased the clear ink storage rack from Oozak that holds 288 sketch markers because I don't have anything large enough to store mine in. At present I have 175 colors and wanted to be able to store them so they're easily accessible and easy to organize. I also wanted to make sure that I didn't outgrow it too quickly. I can't wait until it gets here!

What don't you like about RV04? Too bright?

Have you checked out Cher's earlier post, with the scan of all the markers she has? It is helpful to see actual swatches!
I can't really help you, as I don't really have any pinks I like, either...they are too apricot for me. I have some more on order but I don't know what they will be like.
FYI I also ordered some Neopiko from Oozak since they were only $1, and I got the "Baby Pink..." HA not at all what I expected! It is pretty much an RV on the Copic scale, not a pure red. I expected the generic "baby" pink you usually see in stores; NOT.

Have you looked at Rv-10? I really like it for a light pink. The pig in this card is a blend of RV-10 and a little rv-14.

I don't like the RVs either (for a nice pink)...04 is quite shocking. They are way to toxic looking for my taste. I have RV13 "Tender Pink", and that is even pretty bright. I do LOVE R20, "Blush". Its very soft, but not with the violet hues if that is what you are looking for. I use that all of the time. I am actually looking for something similar, but with more of a violet tone as well.

A softer non-peachy pink is R83.

I just broke down and ordered 19 more copics from Carpe Diem *gasp*...sorry Rusty, but I needed them before the pricing changes!

Anyway, I am trying more pinks...since none of mine seem to be just nice pink. LOL

What is everyone's favorite color to use as a black?

Why do we need so many grays?

TIA! Gosh I wish that Feb. wasn't a short month, I need more time to decide on my Copics. Like so many here I placed and order and now I feel lik I need to squeeze in one more!

For the darkest black, I use T10...I never actually use BLACK. For penguins and stuff I usually use the N's...4-8 for some shading.

It holds about 175 Sketch. To hold the whole collection, you would need 2 tins.

The Original markers are square shaped and yes, a bit bigger then the Sketch. They also hold more ink in them though. Since Amuse's images are so small, it makes sense to color with the bullet tip.

I'm more of a Cool Gray gal, so I use C9, C7, and C5 when I color things that are suppose to be black.

There are many grays to match the different tones in the cool colors and warm colors.

I don't have R83 yet...will have to try that!

I'm really tempted to buy the rest I need...I guess I have another day and 1/2 to think about it, lol.

You and me both! If I don't count the flourescent (which I don't want) and the rest of the grays (which I don't need), I only need 60 more.

I think I must resist. Help me stay strong!!!!

speaking of just ordering I didn't see any mention of PeriodStyle I have gotten great service there, some free little surprises, cause the order was so big I suspect and they seem to have most of the colors and if you tell them BackOrder OK, they will get it to you when they have the BO ones at no extra cost. Met them in Syracuse at a show and they were very helpful-sold me on the advantages of Sketch over Ciao

I am so glad to hear that! I just placed an order with them. I got a "custom" set of 12 to try out for fun. I don't think even with years of practice I'd color and shade the way so many talented people do, so I really just thought I'd get some colors that I would like as a marker anyway, and then go from there.

I actually colored today....and tried my airbrush on a project instead of blank paper. On the bottom image on that card you can barely see it...but I think if I get the hang of it, I will like it!

Not much blending...but trying to inspire you all to color instead of shop today.

Actually I need more motivation to stop shopping for copics and just USE them.

It's hard...I go sit down to color and think...hmm...if I only had that one color...in between those...

And I go back to the computer to look it up...and decide what to buy to fill the $50 for free shipping!!

I guess the only way to stop that vicious cycle is to have them all...LOL

I guess the only way to stop that vicious cycle is to have them all...LOL
so true ;^)

I just found them online. I've had them bookmarked for about 2 months. I like the custom set of 12, and free shipping on that. Finally decided, why not! I knew you all would just encourage me anyway, so I went right ahead!

Well, I caved. LOL! Now I only need 45 more to complete my set.

But I also discovered 3 duplicates, plus 2 more the I ordered a few days ago that I already have (note to self: don't order when tired).

I guess I'll put those up in B/S/T as soon as I receive the other 2.

Oh, if you were NYS I was going to suggest clicking on the link in my siggy to the get together in Buffalo. 3 Dirty Girls will be there and it's a lot of fun!

I mark mine off on a master list and still got a dup on my last order

I use my hand-colored chart and three times now I have had B60 in my cart and thought it sounded familiar. Because I have it...LOL...but it's so light you can hardly see it on the chart.

I was checking them off on a color swatch chart, but gave up when I got confused. LOL

I've only been gone for 45 minutes...lol and you already ordered.

I only need 47 more...my last order just got here today and I have 35 coming in a 6 month group buy in thingy I'm doing with Sweet n Sassy. I really wanted to just do the group thing for the rest I needed, but they also had to raise their prices, so after my 6 months is over, I don't want to do it anymore.

If I bought the rest I need today, I'd save $43.24. I could buy stamps with that money, lol.

Still staying strong...lol.

That's the really sad part. I do have a hand colored chart and somehow I have still managed to get dups on 3 orders. I have BG75, BG78, R22, N8 and a YG(can't remember the number off the top of my head, ).

I think that's a sign that I need to just stop buying. I have all the Yellows, all the Reds, all the Violets and only need about 5 or 6 more in all the other colors.

I have a confession to make. I caved. And its all ya'lls fault! DH told me to "go ahead and order a few to see if you can color with them". *snort*...a few. Seriously, what was he thinking. Anyway, I got my order from Oozak today. Yum. (And they do have terrific service, just not a lot of inventory right now). And I have one from CarpeDiem coming tomorrow and another I just placed today before the price increase.

SO, how long do you think I can hide them from DH? LOL!

Oh and I really want one of those AMuse buckets. Really. If I'm in trouble already I may as well go ALL the way right?

Anyway, just had to say "thanks" !

Beautiful card, Cher. Your Changitos are going to be the end of me. They are so cute. I don't have the heart to use up the last of the images you sent me. It will be stored and kept safe...until I buy the stamps. MUAHAHAHa.

Since I started using the Sparmax air compressor, I have to say that it's so much better than using the air cans. I just noticed that I don't have to work so hard to lay down the colors. With the air cans, they seemed "weaker." I only say that now because I have something to compare it to. I thought it was fine when I used the cans and now I can tell the difference. It's going to get addicting, Cher. You're gonna want to airbrush your whole room. I'm just getting airbushing-happy. So much so that my DH went out to Lowe's and bought me this 3M Paint Spray Respirator. LOL

Thanks for your inspiration. I'm not buying ANYTHING today. I'm just coloring and thanks to you, I used a ton of different colors today. It really is so much more fun to color when I'm able to stop shopping.

Here's my card.
