Oh my this thread is bad!

I was wondering if anyone knows the dimensions of the storage rack mentioned somewhere in this thread? Anyone have it yet?

CE is on the windshield (and Riley's glasses), silver pen on the chrome areas, and white gel pen on the white part of the car (and to highlight the apple, glasses).
I like how Tractor Riley's face turned out, but it seems like I did the same thing on the other ones and it didn't look the same! I'm wondering if it's because it's slightly larger so there's more room to blend...or maybe it's just me! LOL I used Bics on the tractor itself to get the darker colors, which I haven't received yet in Copics
These are GREAT! You do a great job with Riley's face for sure. I can see where you are having trouble with the sky, that I'm not sure how to fix. However, I don't think it looks terrible but I know you're looking for a different sky.

I don't know dimensions...I could guess based on how many they hold. Or email oozak and ask....they just got them in today:

http://www.oozak.com/proddetail.php?prod=COPCSV-DISP

I bet they are sold out within a couple days...LOL...they are already down to 18 left!

WOW! Great customer service from Oozak!!! Rusty contacted me to let me know that the site automatically calculates shipping via Ground rather than USPS. He mentioned they are working to correct that. For now, you just have to change the shipping method to get the $4.95 shipping. Phew! Thought I was going to have to pay full price for my markers! I'm shopping as soon as they get a shipment!!! Sound like he has some deals coming up too. You guys were right...this is a great site, great service and great prices.

That is too funny - did a post like this back in August. I'm amazed at how many colors we picked in common for our favorites!

I went more for the YG instead of the G group (but I do like the G-20's too) - but many are the same. Here is my list:

http://papergardenprojects.com/blog/...lor-picking-2/

It was so hard to pick just 30!

Thanks Cher! I did email them and posted here about the same time!
It was after their work day so I dont expect to hear anything until tomorrow. I went ahead and placed an order because I did not want to miss out and hopefully it is not too huge

It's mostly that I want my sky to match my paper! But Menolly13 was super duper sweet and sent me some swatches of the blues (and other colors) she had on GP cardstock! I just got it today, and I'd have to say B21 is the right TINT, if only it was lighter...so I may just do a custom marker and add that to some blender.

Thank you sooooo much, Menolly! That was super duper helpful, I can't thank you enough...I feel another Copic order coming on, now!

If you like the color of the SU Bashful and Brilliant blues, then you would probably want a copic in the B30 family. B32 is a good match for Bashful and I think B37 (or is it 39? I'm at work without my color chart) is a good match for Brilliant. Personally, I haven't found a blue that was light enough for a good sky color. That is why I made my own.

I can take some photos when I get home, but if you really don't like the B00, you probably won't like my lighter shade of it. I made a pink and a yellow too as they are the other colors I always wanted in a lighter shade. I'm still debating on which green to do it to. I love the G21, but it is just too dark when you try to blend it with anything else.
You're right, none of the blues are really light enough for sky...maybe in the new super pale spring line-up there will be one!?!
Again, thank you so much; you are super organized...I do like the tint of B21, it's the lightest, purest blue to me (not gray, green or purple)

I had the metric measurements and came out with something approximate: 14-15 inches wide, 8 1/2" tall, and 4 1/2" deep. There are 4 levels with 18 columns, plus an end unit that extends all 4 levels. I looked at the display case at a store; it is very compact but seems sturdy.

Just about spot on I measured one this morning and here's the low-down:

Overall dimensions - 16" Wide x 10 3/4" Tall x 4 3/8" Deep. The end unit is 1 3/8" wide. Weighs 5 pounds. Much thicker plastic than the marker cases.

72 'cubbies', each cubby can fit 4 Sketch/Ciao (288 total) or 3 Original (216 total) or 2 Refill inks (144 total) or 2 Sketch and 1 Refill Ink, etc, etc.

Hope that helps.

Sorry...It was me who said B19- Ultramarine, but it was a typo...it's actually supposed to be B29 (still ultramarine).

Off to fix my typo...

I would wait for the B06 to be in stock. It's the closest to Pacific Point that I've tested. B29 is darker and more of a royal blue.

Also, I got HAPPY MAIL. The Sparmax air compressor arrived from Rex Art. It was so easy to put together (took 30 seconds) and I'm finally able to airbrush again. I've been having withdrawals...

Here is a list that I compiled. Most of them I got from All That Scraps when I purchased the set for the SU colors.

The list is in the second post in this thread. http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...d.php?t=415315

It is in excel format, so you can easily add other colors to it and keep a list of which ones you have!!!

Hope this helps you!!!

You think B06 is exact? Or closer? I'll change my list on my blog if it's a lot better. I never had Pacific Point Paper, just took someone else's word for it on the B29.

However some lists floating around say that BG09 is a match to Blue Bayou and thats WAY off...so I should have known!

All the other colors I matched myself...except Pacific Point.

After a 3rd layer of B06, I feel it's an exact match to Pacific Point. I've been staring at the two colors going cross-eyed to compare them. LOL The B29 is more of a royal blue for sure.

All the other colors I matched myself...except Pacific Point.
I think that BG09 is pretty close to Blue Bayou. Maybe it depends on which card stock it is used on.

This was also what was on the list I got from All That Scraps with the SU color match set they used to sell. It lists B29 as being a match for Brillant Blue - I haven't tried to match to Pacific point yet.

Jami Sibley had these matches listed on her blog as matches for the 08 In Colors.
Pacific Point - B06 Peacock Blue
Baja Breeze - BG72 - Ice Ocean
Pink Pirouette - RV00 Water Lily
Kiwi Kiss - YG03 - Yellow Green
Tangerine Tango - YR09 Chinese Orange
Riding Hood Red - R37 Carmine

I was wondering if everyone would share what they use to store their markers in?? Right now I have a slim topless box that are holding my 19 markers but that isn't gonna work much longer as I am waiting for 2shipments.

I wish my markers were here now...I don't have enough to really play yet. I am expecting 1 shipment of 15 that should be here sometime this week (hopefully) and I just placed another order of 19 yesterday afternoon. I just can't wait....ahhhhhh! and patience has never been a strong point for me...lol!

I just placed my first ever Copic order last night! I ordered 52 markers! I've been agonizing over what colors to get all week long and talked myself out of buying them a few times. I was stressing buying them NOW because the price was going to go up! I thought that I had missed out on the free shipping over $50 at Carpadiem, but talked to CS today (to try to add to my order ) and was told that as long as it was over $50 the shipping was free! Wow! That made my day, I saved $13. They said the shipping showed up on the order, but then they would adjust it off before charging my card. They already had everything picked and ready to ship out to me!

Thank you so much for all of the advice on what cardstock and ink to use. I especially appreciate the SU to Copic color chart conversions. I would never know what to have bought if it wasn't for the chart and all of the helpfull color suggestions!

Now I just hope that I will LOVE my Copics as much as most of you gals!

It is such an addiction! I love it! But when you get on the sites and are looking at all these colours and shades it can definately get intimidating.

I started by purchasing 19 markers from a girl in the BST (buy sell trade) forum and pretty much the day they arrived I placed my second order and those haven't even arrived yet and I placed a third. Hopefully that will give me some good options to play with and I can slow down and start spacing out my orders more now...lol.

I have to have all of my supplies organized and they have to look nice too. I have seen several people storing them in the black or white wooden shelf system from Quickutz called the Magpie Nesting System. It has 9 compartments for the different color groups and a drawer that would hold refill bottles, etc. I've been looking on them on-line, but am wondering if Mikes or HL sells them and could use a coupon. They run a little under $30. HTH.

Glad you're asking. I realized that I didn't have one posted on my blog, so I got it updated. I got my idea from wonderful Cher and love it.

J-Bo...you gave me a good chuckle! I'm glad I'm not the only one! Congrats on your marker purchases...all 3!!!

It's like I could not take the plunge, but now that I have, I'm addicted. I had to order the GinaK cardstock and still need the Momento ink to be able to get started. I'm working the Shrine Circus the rest of the week so I won't be able to play until next week and it's going be sooo hard to wait.

It does make a big difference which paper it was done on. I use PTI and GinaK, and all of the colors are a hair lighter on the GinaK.
