Default Cuttlebug and Bigz XL dies?

Has anyone tried using the Stampin Up Bigz XL dies in a cuttlebug? Can you just buy the extended cutting pads and use it in our CB?

The Bigz XL dies WILL work in the cuttlebug because I use mine but its the actual cutting pads that wont work. They are too wide (or thats what everyone who tried it said). So with this information, I just made my own by going to Lowe's, buying a piece of plexiglass and having them cut it for me about a 1/4" less wide that what the Big Shot cutting pads are. Also, some people are using 2 sets of the B plated and taping them together to make a long cutting pad but some people say that it leaves a crease line where you have the two cutting pads butted up against each other.

For about $35 I got 5 sets of extended cutting pads (I think I had mine cut at 12" long and 5 3/4" wide (I cant remember exactly) and so now I have 10 of that size of cutting pads.

you can also use the sizzix strip size clear plates with the xl's. they are made for the decorative strip dies.

i bought two sets and use one set on the bottom and one on top. this makes up the width and lenght needed! buy when you have a coupon and even better deal ;)
