Colorbox/Queue Cats Eyes problem

Wanted to ink the edges of a quick project last night and the ink pad came right off the base!! Made a BIG mark where I wasn't really planning to have any. Although I was able to fix it so it looks ok now, I'm wondering if there is a way to stick the pad back on? These are pretty new, just a couple of months old, hoping this isn't going to start happening to the other 47 colors I have:(

YES!!! I have done that more than once--Super Glue, the gel kind if you have it. Give it a few hours to dry.

oh! lol. I hadn't thought of that. I won't describe how I've continued to use the detached pads ....

Thanks, queenBee!!! I think I have some of the gel kind.

In your siggy does that say 27 lbs lost? WTG!!

I have heard of this happening a LOT! I know some people use Glue Dots. :)

I use the chestnut roan for aging so my pad comes off all the time.

Thanks on the weight loss recognition--it is now 29! Hubby is stuck at 25 for a change. I love this diet! Last night we had stuffed cabbage for dinner and today is a pastry-less spinach quiche, which is basically making it and trowing out the pie shell after it is served. It is yummers! I saute fresh spinach in a touch of olive oil, onion and garlic before adding it to the quiche mix. Alpine has a fat free swiss but it doesn't melt real pretty...but it tastes good!

Thanks triplets. I am ashamed to admit that I have no glue dots. How can I show my face here with such an obviously inadequate stash!! LOL!!

Spinach quiche sounds really good - I think it's time for lunch. :-)

These are great tips. I have had the same problem and just keep replacing those ones, which is annoying when there is still ink left.

Thank you!

I have some older Colorbox Petal sets that are coming off, too. I feel that it should not happen, regardless of how long you've had the ink pads, and will not buy any more. I haven't had the problems with any other brand of inks.

Gotta agree with you, Mary Beth. It is kind of a PITA, especially since half the point of those little ink pads is how you can use them to ink directly onto a page, and then they wreck your work by falling off. Hearing that this does seem to happen to other people does not make me think I'll be buying these again.

This has happened to me quite a bit, too. Good to know I can just glue them back on. I love the size of the Queues and the variety of colors you can get. Thanks for the tip!
