color spritzer- decisions, decisions...

I'm thinking of getting the color spritzer with my SAB or der. Those of you that have it, do you use it much - is it worth it? ;)

I love mine! I got the InkArt tool years ago when I first became a demo. This was before they discontinued it (the vendor, not SU) and I was SO glad that SU was able to find another vendor.

I use mine a LOT!

I have it and love it - it's lots of fun to play with! :)

I have it and use it on occasion.

I have it and like it. I used it to spray a background on my Christmas cards.

I have it and use it all of the time. Before I have the full marker set ( sigh) I would use the blender pen really saturated with ink refills or from the pad. I have also used the blender pen with bleach. I love that it add a little something to one of the layers, just seems to help to tie it all together. Good luck with your decision but IMO it is worth it.

I use a toothbrush(no not my DH's) and reinkers and get the same effect- here's a sample http:////www.splitcoaststampers.com/...0&ppuser=79533
For this project I did whole sheets of paper first, cut the pieces and then embossed the stars on top.

here is another thread that was started yesterday on the same subject:

I use a tooth brush just like Diane above ^

I keep thinking I want to get it as well.. AmyR's blog has a nice tutorial on it which was what convinced me that I needed it.. link is right up there with her post...

I have the original Inkworks Air Art Tool SU sold years ago. I much prefer it to a toothbrush because it makes absolutely *no* mess. None!! It also works great!

Lisa Loiselle 01-13-2007 06:41 AM

I bought the ink works tool years ago. I never use it. I think if I owned the SU markers I might use it more often. I use the splatter stamp from Itty Bitty Backgrounds instead.

NO. Big waste of money IMO. I use the toothbrush. There was just a thread started on this subject yesterday. Look back a little ways and you'll find it!

LOL I tried the toothbrush some time ago and HATED it - I was covered in ink and there were splatters EVERYWHERE on my desk that ended up ruining a bunch of CS. I'm so sticking w/ my Color Spritzer - at least I feel like I have control of where the spray is going and how much!!

Debra 01-13-2007 07:24 AM

I have the new spritzer. I have the old one as well. Love using it! Toothbrush? Nope. Give me the spritzer anyday.

I'm sure it's neater but mine didn't work at all. My friend got one and hers didn't work either. We had SU markers and they were juicy but it just didn't do anything. ??

Sometimes it takes playing with the placement of the marker tip across the opening of the squeeze bulb. It it is too high or too low, it won't work. The air that expels out of the opening has to blow across the TIP of the marker so it can carry the ink onto your paper. I encourage you to experiment on scrap. Oh--and practice squeezing the bulb fast or slow, hard or soft. Some techniques will work better than others. Once you figure out how it works, you'll love it!

I'm a totally visual person and it took me a little while to "get" how to use it properly - so I had to share for anyone else who needs a visual to "get" it!!
