In Canada, they're individually priced at $39.99. I wouldn't pay that much for them but with a 40% coupon they're $24.99 and with 50% off they're a mere.

I'm thinking of getting some after the 1st to help with my organization resolution.
Do they seem sturdy? Easy to put together?
I put mine together myself, and it takes a bout a half hour for each one. Maybe I'm just slow, but they are very sturdy and stackable too. At the moment I have all of mine underneath my craft table for easy access, but I do want several more to store the less frequently used items.

Michaels is now carrying the most fantastic 14" x 14" organizer cubes. Great for storing all the millions of little things we accumulate.
I have 5 so far and plan to get 4 more on the weekend. Hoping for even more for Christmas.
Anyone else JUST GOTTA HAVE these?
I have some and I love them! I bought a couple to see how I liked them, then added a few more and now I have 6. I got mine at Thanksgiving and used a combination of Turkey bucks and % off so I think I ended up with 2 "free"
I really like that you can as you go and I was also quite surprised by the amount of things I could store. My craft room looks much tidier now!
I'm glad you all posted this information. I've seen them and thought they looked really cute and tidy, but I wasn't sure how sturdy or helpful they'd be. Okay, so maybe I'm glad, but Hubby probably won't be! ;) He'll just and say, there's more stuff that you *need*?

My problem is that I don't have room in my "craft" room for anything else! It's actually also the spare bedroom (or middle son's room, when he's home from school!) and I just can't take up any more floor space! But I do LOVE the look!
Wenchie! I love your new avatar! Not that your pic wasn't gorgeous but that kitten is A-dorable!
I have the ones from Target. I bought them last year. I only have the ones with the 4 dividers b/c I have a boatload of paper! I saw the ones at Michaels and they are very similiar to mine. They are great for neat tidy storage.
I bought some similar at Target a few years back. they are pretty good quality. But I also got the desk board to make a custom desk. It doesn't work, it's really narrow and the edges are really edgy... like they'd dig into my arms.
so now I have it all as a back wall thing and stuff on it and in it. That's working fine.
Just wanted to warn anyone about the desk thing, in case the MIchaels one has that too.

I like the looks of those cubbys; I'll have to check them out at Target after Christmas. I don't have a craft room, I keep my stuff in the dining room. It bugs me that where I keep my supplies is so messy looking.
I have 13. (I know, I should really get one more, lol!) I had five and then when I went to get #6 they told me that these were considered "seasonal" items and they wouldn't be getting any more than what was there. So, I went ahead and got 5 that night.
Then last week, all of a sudden they had restocked them. The manager said they were just consolidating stock from area stores. That this wasn't a new shipment.
So far I have them set up like a desk...2 cubes on each side with a board across the top of them (the board is from an office cubicle type of modular stuff dh brought home from work). Then I continued building up the stacks with another three on each side, and I had dh put a board spanning the two stack for another shelf. There's probably room for another cube, but being that high, I'm not sure how much use I'd get out of it. So I have three that I'm still trying to place somewhere.
You can get these in different configurations. They are all a base unit of 14x14, but the interior could be either: 3 drawers; one drawer with one open shelf; 3 shelves; or 4 small drawers. I think that's all of them?
I put all of them together over a 2-day period. I can't believe dh waited until I'd finished a few before offering his power drill. Oh....took my wrist days to recover, lol! But they are simple enough to figure out, and once you've put together a few, it's a piece of cake.
I will be very curious to see if we get any more in. I did also pick up that Making Memories turntable thing, too, since it matched perfectly... One of these days, if my room ever gets sort of picked up, I'll take a picture...
The Target ones I have are all wood...no plastic or metal. When I bought mine they only had 4. I bought all of those and bought the rest from Target.com.
I have 4 rows of 3 .
Those are cute, too bad I can't find the room or the money to pay for them!

Does anyone know if these are compatable with the storage cubes that are available from AC Moore?
I was waiting until after Christmas to get my Michael's cubes to add to my 6 I got from AC Moore. I too am based in the dining room-but I think I have found some expansion room! LOL. I hope that they aren't so seasonal that they sell out by mid-Jan.

I didn't know that - thanks, Betsy! I would have been majorly bummed if I had gone back looking for more (which is what I had planned to do) and they were suddenly gone.
Yeah, I was glad they told me. I had been planning on getting one at a time as I got coupons. I wish I had been able to buy them that way, so I could have figured out slowly what things I wanted to store and where. I might have made some different decisions about the style I bought.
I think they are very sturdy, whether you attach a frame to them or not. They have holes drilled top and bottom to insert joining pegs if you want to stack them. It helps make them very stable.
Oooooh, that looks great! Nice to have a handy man around the house, eh?? I think I better start collecting those coupons again!
Thanks! Yes it's nice to have a handy guy. I drew the plans and he did most of the work - I helped assemble drawers/cubes and nailed on the trim. I also caulked around all the edges to give it a real furniture look.
p.s. I got this idea out of a magazine!

What section did you find them in? What brand are they?
Brenda, our M's has some in the front of the store as a featured item. I've also seen the majority of them in the scrapbooking/stamping organizing section where they carry totes, MM's shelving unit, and larger organizers. They are flat units, if I remember correctly, that need to be assembled. hth!
Oh m'gosh Julie! Your space looks fantastic!! I can only drool LOL
The dividers in the drawers are very sturdy pressed board and offer 16 sections
They come in 4 varieties: 4 narrow drawers, 3 wide drawerd, 1 drawer with dividers and an open shelf and a 4 shelf unit. You mix and match based on your needs.
for myself, I have a few of the units with the dividers and put both divider drawers in a single unit then get my father in law to add shelves to the leftover to maximize the space of the cube.
I'm off to get me 4 more today after I pick up hubby at the airport and run around with him. I'm going to make him come and carry them as payment for hijacking my Saturday *snort*
Oh, right, one more thing, they do have dowels to stack them upright, but nothing to hold them together on the horizontal, so if your floor is not quite level you have to shim them.

I don't have dividers in my drawers - those are great! Well, the smaller drawers are divided down the middle, but the big drawers aren't. I have file folders in some of them and others are just used for storage of "stuff."
Oh man! Just when I thought I was done setting myself up! Those are great looking! May just hafta check 'em out (but NOT this week . . . hopefully they will have some left AFTER Christmas!!
Maybe we should start a write-in campaign, lol! I just can't figure WHAT about these makes them seasonal? I really think this would be a seller year-round, don't you? And I imagine a lot of people would like to be able to buy them spread out over time instead of all at once, since $30 US is expensive if you buy several at once! Of course, that's probably what they want, lol, so you don't get all of them with a 40% off coupon.

See, this here is where you start doing the in and out thing. Tell them you don't receive the flyer at your home and then they get you to sign an exception log and you still get the discount.
I went in and out 4 times today. No problem at all. I do it all the time. They don't care, just go to a different till each time.
I agree with you though, that this is definately not a 'seasonal' item. Who thought that up I wonder? Doesn't make any sense at all.

They look similar to the ones carried year round by our AC Moore. I don't go in Michaels, so I can't compare the two. The Store in Style cubes are larger and heavier than the AC Moore cubes, but both work well. I have three of the AC Moore 3 drawer cubes for paper. AC Moore carries them for 29.99 reg price and runs them on sale fairly often.
