Default Cetearyl alcohol in alcohol-free baby wipes?

Hi! As many of us probably do, I use baby wipes sometimes to clean my stamps. I always buy the kind that is fragrance and alcohol free, because I don't want my stamp rubber to dry out. But I noticed recently that the wipes that specifically say "alcohol free" on the package, do have something called cetearyl alcohol listed in the ingredients. Is this something I should avoid, or is it safe for stamps? How can they say the wipes are alcohol free when they list cetearyl alcohol in the ingredients? This is true for both the "sensitive" and the "natural" versions of wipes (Huggies, Pampers, and generics). Help!
Naomi

It's a fatty alcohol which is a moisturizing agent, not a drying alcohol so I wouldn't worry about it. The ones you want to avoid are isopropol (rubbing alcohol), propranol, ethyl alcohol, ethanol, isopropanol, SD Alcohol 40, and denatured alcohol. Also avoid witch hazel which is drying. These are the same alcohols I avoid in my hair products because they dry out the hair, and will also dry out your rubber stamps.
