Cat P on Sizzix Dies

My cat urinated on a bunch of my Sizzix dies. What is the best way to clean these? How do I get the odor out of the pad side of the die? I have hundreds of dollars invested in these dies and I really don't want to have to throw them away.

Providing you make sure the die is thoroughly dried so you don't get any possibility of it rusting I suspect lots of water and some detergent is going to be your best bet - I'd try washing a die with whatever detergent generally works for you. The foam is pretty dense so hopefully it will be mostly a surface problem rather than it having soaked in too much. Try with one and see how you get on with it - good luck!

Use an enzyme product like "Nature's Miracle" or one of the similar ones. You can usually find these at all pet stores, and places like Target, Walmart etc.

Soak the foam - the place them in the sun to dry. You shouldn't have any problems.

Well I wouldn't put it in the oven or anything but out in the sunshine or face down on a pile of kitchen towel in the airing cupboard should pose no problem, I wouldn't have thought - these things are tough (they have to be to take the forces a die cut machine is going to put on them). As ever, I'd try with one first (probably my lest favourite) to check for any issues before doing them all, though.
