Smile Copic Certification

Would you share what you know about this training. Will they allow non-store owners but SU Demos to attend? Do they sell markers at the training? If you attended -How was it? I want to do this very much. Thanks

It's an all day class that covers all the basics (techniques and on of each type of marker). It's a good class. You'll have to check with Marianne Walker on specifics about how they go about filling the classes.

I second that it was a good class. I know she typically reserves spots for teachers and shop owners (so they can then go out and teach others), but I believe if there are extra spaces she opens them to the public.

She did not sell actual markers at the class, but I believe you could sign up to purchase a bottle of the blending solution and she would bring it to class... you do get a few markers to use during class (and keep) as part of the class fee.

If you go... enjoy yourself!

Lori Craig's taken the class twice, if that helps at all. She felt she learned something new each time (or she was just saying it to make me feel better)

The classes are open first to store owners and teachers- people who will share what they learn with others. Then it opens to everyone if there is still space. These classes are NOT meant to be exclusive parties, rather, they are a low-key, fun but intensive class to learn and take the mystery out of using your Copics and see how you can do more with them.

They're technique based, so you don't make any finished cards (no time!). HTH!
