You can use it on glossy or matte. You'll get a brighter effect on glossy is all. The way it's supposed to work is you would stamp your image with the ink onto your cardstock and let it dry. Then, using a brayer or a sponge, apply color over the top. Afterwards, gently wipe off the image area and you'll be able to see the original image that has "resisted" the additional color.

This is sort of like Versamark (which came out later than the Ranger pad) except it won't leave a watermarked image like Versamark...it will mostly disappear after it dries.

uscgirl.....Really it's the same difference as the VersaMark pad. Yes, it will leave a watermark on cardstock. On the glossy paper it will work the same as what MSBetsyZ says, but can also be used on regular cardstock same as you would use VersaMark. I use both pads interchangably.

Here's the URL - I couldn't post it above as that was my 3rd post and the forum tells me I need 3 or more to post a URL.

It does leave a watermark? Huh...I wonder if it's different these days. I bought mine when they first came out, which was, maybe, 10ish years ago? Whatever, nice to know!
