Default Any "marker" experts out there...differences in these brands? ...

Prismacolor, Copic and Tria. I love the vivid colors, they are all quite pricey so is there some technique or secret to using them? Are they more than just a color and go marker? Would love any input!

I only have some Prisma's and the only thing i can tell you about them is they are alcohol based (not water based so you cannot go direct to rubber with them) they also have a faint fume odor to them so if you are doing a lot of coloring you want your room ventilated or a fan going or something like that. The ones i have do good coverage the first time across the card stock. ( and you can highlight over them with the pencils later to shade if you want)
all my other markers are SU and Tombo's... hth,

Can I add chartpak? I have some of those and I have never used them. Alcohol based, I think

The big difference between the copic and the prisma are that the copic are refillable, so they will basically last you a lifetime, the prisma's are not, that is why there is such a price difference.

I decided to go with the prisma markers because I am no artist, and I never will be, so who knows how long I will stick with this. I already had all the prisma pencils I wanted so I got the markers to match those.
