My trimmer died last night. The plastic guard snapped off and now it doesn't cut at all, just leaves a jagged edge. It's been a good two years and I will miss it. Time to shop for a new trimmer!

If MM stands for Making Memories in this case, I would contact them regarding it. The plastic guard snapped off mine, and I contacted them. They sent me a new guard and apologized for it happening.
Can I ask how long it took before you got your replacement? The plastic guard snapped off of mine, and I sent in a request, but it says that my request is still being reviewed. That was about three weeks ago. I am just wondering if I should just go ahead and buy another one - I NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED my trimmer!
My plastic guard broke, sent me a new one. When the cutter made a horrible squeaking noise, they sent me a new cutter. Then all the grid lines rubbed off (mostly on what I was cutting ARGH!), so I ditched it and looked for something else.
Here also my lines rubbed off and I got a whole new cutter. I love this cutter, I have had several over the years and this cuts the nicest, and you cannot beat not having to replace the blades. I too would buy it again just for the customer service. There are so many companies out there that dont even answer your emails or calls.
