Hi - here's the link stampingcottage.com They're out of stock of the Bind-it-All right now, but they have terrific prices on the Owires. I think they're expecting BIA in stock by 8/2

Hee, hee... That's because I just ordered her last one on Weds!! She should have more BiA in next week. My order should be arriving next week as she is waiting to ship it until some owires I wanted come in on Monday.

I have been very happy so far with Michelle of Stamping Cottage. She has kept me informed the whole way. I wanted a bulk box of owires and she ordered them directly from her supplier (50 black 3/4" for $19.99 - Good price, I think, didn't double check!). Here's what I like - I got free shipping! Most others charge shipping plus and extra $4 for the BiA. After $50 in product, shipping is free.

This is going to make my Christmas gifts to easy!!

I agree on finding deals on the Bind it All machine it's self and boat loads of wires cheap BUT, what about the outside/inside of your books? What are you using and where are you getting it to be cost effective?

I've been making mostly coaster books, and I cut white cardstock (usually Georgia Pacific) for inside pages. For larger things, I have cut transparency to size and done an overlay, or used cut-down chipboard and decoupaged it.

I think the idea of jr legal pads for lined paper is great!

Thanks for the info... I've used a window sheet (transparency) on the front of a notebook with lots of layers to protect it. So, do you tac it down some how or just let the static cling do it's thing? Mine doesn't always stay in place since I rely on it clinging. Maybe I'll use a big eyelet and some ribbon to make a closure, hmmm...

I've been relying on static--with 6 kids there's always plenty around here! LOL

I *love* the idea of an eyelet/ribbon closure! I need to make books out of my 4x4 designer paper swap I just got today, and that might be *perfect*!

I bought my Bind-it-all at Bonnies and most of my wires from EklecticPaperie, both provided excellent service, EP was quicker for me as it is on the West Coast. I have used the 1 1/4 size for a 5x7 book I made for a friend's son who broke his arm and needed to know that there were plenty of things he could do this summer with an arm in a cast. I am post-challenged, so take a peek at my gallery for the sample.
I love my bind-it-all, my only wish is that the directions that came with it were a bit clearer, the video is hard to watch as it is very "canned" (now I know why we pay actors the big bucks!) and doesn't really provide directions, just samples and reasons to purchase it, which I already had, hmmmm.
Good luck, have fun and be sure to post your artwork!

Love this book, thanks for sharing! Now I need a Sizzix, Quickcutz, and of course a Bind it ALL! lol The possiblities are endless, do you mind sharing where you got ideas for this book?

So, I have been eyeing this thread for a couple of months now. I have really gotten into making smaller type scrapbooks and little paper crafts. I just couldn't bring myself to getting one of these little babies yet... However, they just got some in where I work and now I am HOOKED. I cannot get one yet, but I already have a TON of ideas and things I want to make with this!!!!

I've cut down cereal boxes and the like to use like chipboard on some of my larger stuff. It's not "as" sturdy as chipboard, but once you put your paper and layers, etc. on it, it's pretty sturdy!

I get 18pt chipboard free from a local printer and it make terrific pages and page inserts and covers -- it isn't very thick so you can cover it easily too...

For those of you guys looking for the best deal on a BIA Charlie sells them for $45 at CraftersAlley.com , she's the best price I've found so far and has a great reputation on the Cricut forum.
I just love the BIA, I now recycle all the card board packaging I end up with. It can be covered with patterned paper and made into books!

My bind-it-all seems to be defective. It will not work no matter what I do and makes a funny grinding noise. Has anyone else had this problem?

On your paperwork for the Bind it All is there a 800 number to call? I'm sure they can assist you promptly.

I have had mine for 6 months, and I have never heard a grinding noise, so here are a few questions:
1--could the garbage compartment be full?
2--from whom did you buy it? can you contact them?
3--how long have you had it?
4--have you been able to cut anything with it yet?

Where do you live in Canada? I own a store in Abbotsford, BC and I sell them for $65.49. I don't have any in stock at the moment but I am waiting for them to arrive within the next two weeks.

Oooh, I haven't seen BIA stuff at my Archivers yet. I'm pretty sure this means I need to go check it out. I mean, a girl doesn't need *two* Bind-it-alls, but there are always more wires . . .

I have had this for months and I guess I should use it, don't you think. I also got in on the coaster buy, lol, and haven't used any of them either. Oh man, I see a little mini book coming on.

Yeah!! I got my BIA on Thursday from Stamping Cottage. Wow, that Michelle is FAST with excellent service. I am super impressed. Plus, I got free shipping and was able to add a few other items from her store to the order, too.

I highly recommend stampingcottage.com Okay, off to go play with my new toy!!

Hello everyone that has a BIA: If I cannot get the wires to close in a perfect "O"..... What am I doing wrong??? It works pretty good, but it turns out looking a bit egg-shaped. Does anyone have any idea of what I might try to do differently so that this won't happen?

make sure your loops are resting loosely and not tight to the bottom, I found that made a huge difference for me ....and don't squeeze too hard. Just squeeze enought to close the rings, watch from the side and then you should have a nice circle. I found with my first one, I overclosed and got an oval instead of a circle. I hope that is helpful.

I ordered my BIA last Spring (after reading all of Amysings posts about it - lol) from Bonnie, and I FINALLY opened it up yesterday and made a 6x6 baby book for my niece and her husband that just had their first baby. I will tell you that the DVD is worthless as far as showing you HOW to use it (and quite painful to watch, lol), and the little booklet that comes with the machine is rather confusing. If you haven't used yours yet, or have one on the way, go to ZutterZisters.com and you will find detailed instruction steps with pictures. The link that cleared up my question about how to assemble the book to bind it, and how to get the proper setting for your coils is called "How to Bind Like a Pro". There is also a table that tells you what size to cut your covers for various sized books which is very helpful.

I spent a lot of time trying to figure things out through trial and error; too bad I ddn't find this site first! So, hopefully this post will help someone else out there who is having problems. Once I found these instructions, my book went together like a charm - I know I am going to love this machine now that I've finally gotten it out of the package! Have all kinds of ideas swirling around in my head : )

Thanks, Amy! I can't believe that tool sat in it's box all summer - it became a running joke between my friend and I! I HAD to have it; but you know, I need another a few hours in every day just for ME : )

Wouldn't that be awesome?! I work from home but I still don't seem to find time to play as much as I'd like. However, I spent most of yesterday in my stamping room organizing. I also had some tags to make for a swap and finished those too. Thank goodness for owning a Cricut! My tags turned out exactly the way I was hoping. (I need to scan one and put in my gallery.) I wish there were more Sundays in a week.

Default I just ordered my BIA!!!!

I am excited to get it and use it. I was wondering if anyone has the BIA idea book they have? I was wondering if it was worth purchasing? It looks filled with ideas on the cover.
Thanks

I've had mine since earlier this year, and even used it for a few project (one of them [a wine book] is in my gallery). But, just last night I finished up another gift project and made six stand-up calendars and used the BIA to put them together. I took pics and hope to post it tonight. It was pretty simple (after the measuring) and turned out really nice. I gave one away today, and my friend was WOWed!

I use 5/8 or 1/2 inch the most. The measurement is the height of the stack you can bind. So if you want to bind things an inch thick, get 1 1/4 inch wires. Most things fit really well into the 5/8 inch, though.

I haven't received my BIA yet, but I was just wondering...if the wires are 11" or 12" long and your project is only 4" long, can you use the left over wire for another project once you cut the end?

I love mine - got it at CHA last year & I think I use the wires that are around 1/2". The only trouble I've had is punching through small items that I want to bind together like shipping tags. If the item you are punching is smaller than the punching mechanism, it can be difficult. I always end up having half of a punched hole on one side of my set of tags if that makes any sense.
