Big shot handle problem
Okay, I got a brand new Big shot, and while installing the handle, the screw broke off in the crank shaft. The Big shot is being replaced free of charge. However, when I get my new one, probably today or tomorrow, I don't want this same thing to happen again. Should I be careful not to tighten that screw very tightly? ANOTHER DUMB QUESTION: When I use the little tool that comes with it to use with the screw, do I put the short end into the screw or the long end into the screw? I feel like an idiot right about now...

I think the short end goes in so you have a longer handle to turn, but it's been a while since I put mine together....

I usually put the short end of an Allen key in - as Kathy says, it gives you more leverage having the longer end in your hand. My tripod works the same way. I'm sorry you had that problem. I can't remember, but I don't think you need to tighten it too firmly. Once you feel any resistance you've probably gone far enough.

Thanks for the help! My new Big Shot is here, and apparently I attached the handle correctly this time! LOL! I tested it by using an embossing folder, and it worked! YAY! Now if I just had time to play!
