I was so excited to get my Movers and Shaper, it fits in the Cuttlebug BUT it doesn't cut. Seems I need some sort of adapter. When I use the Mover & Shaper with the die cut plastic, there is extra space. But putting two sheets of the die cut plastic is too much. (I think it is plate B).
Any ideas on a thinner sheet of plastic to use?
I may be asking the same question that Tonja Terry asked - can I use the Bigz Scallop Square die in my Cuddlebug - to cut material with? And if, so, will it perform like the Big Shot and cut through like 8 layers of material? Thanks in advance.
Lynn
I've been wondering the same thing. Mainly because I wanted to make one of the rag quilt purses using the scalloped square die but didn't want to purchase it if he wasn't going to work good. Still don't know the answer to that one. (I've just been making the purses by cutting squares)
I did use the CB, the daisies 2 die, and fabric.......doubled the fabric. It cut through the daisy but not real good. I haven't tried it with more than the two layers. The daisy is a pretty detail die but well.......I'm really thinking the BS would be better if you're going to use it on material. Now I just need to save my coins to get the BS I guess......I haven't done it because I LOVE my CB........
Lynn
Sounds like I just need to save up the $ to buy a bigshot and start with this toy rather than buying a CB and buying everything I need to make it work like a Bigshot.
Jimlynn, Your bags sound really nice, I have never made any bags before. I do other sewing.
To be able to cut your flowers out sound great I bet they are very nice. Do you have pictures someplace?
I have some cards I made using the daisy die on my blog - www.creativecraftsbylynn.blogspot.com
In fact, I just posted one with the daisy a few days ago........There is also a photo of one of the bags I made but it's back in an older post. You should be able to see if by looking on the labels on the left hand side of the blog (I THINK I have it labeled "purse".
I'd love for you to visit my blog!
Yeah, if you don't already have the CB, you may want to look into getting the BS. I do like the bug because it's small and I don't have a huge crafting area. I haven't even attempted to buy any of the dies that make the big boxes, etc. as I think I'd either have to buy more plates for the CB or get some type of extender plates.
Anyway, hope this helped some.

I did check into the big shot and what all would be needed besides purchasing the machine. To use the large dies you have to have those other plates also for the big shot and the dies are up to $40 for the large ones. So between plates dies etc etc... This is on hold for me.
I would like to find out opinions as to what people like for the binders. I am deciding between the Bind IT ALL and the new Cinch.
I like the size of the BIA but wonder how large of a project it can handle. OOPS almost forgot I am just trying to find out how to post a new subject...
Let's see.....I really don't know anything about a Bink it All or Cinch......And I mean nothing. Maybe post some type of new thread regarding that question.
Yes, I know what you mean about all the costs involved in the BS. It would get expensive I guess.
Lynn
Jimlynn, I have to laugh I knew nothing either when I started researching. I have to laugh are you sitting down.. It is called a Bind it All not l........ Bink it all.
Question How do I post a new topic here so I can ask about the two binders? I do not see where to start a topic.
Chiming in a bit late for the debate, but provo craft has 6 x 13 cutting mats in the "A", "B" and "C" size for the cuttlebug. Don't know the cost, but I'm sure some SCS'r has it and has used it. HTH!
Sorry about that! LOL - Bink it All!!!!! Talk about a Cool Typo! Oh, well.............
Now to start a new thread: got to Forums, then Tool and Product Talk. At the top of that (under the advertisment) on the right it will say NEW THREAD. Click on that and just give it a title, like maybe: BinD if All or Cinch? LOL! You did notice I spelled it right this time! Does that make any sense?
Also "partyof5-123" thanks for the info on the new cutting mats for the CB. I'll check that out and see if I can find them.
Lynn
What a disappointment I was looking into buying a big shot or big kick I guess they are both the same. Looking into the machine seems like a person needs all these extras to make something work for you.
Well, you could probably just start out with the basics, but yeah, I think to do alot with it you'd have to invest some for all the neat things that they have out there.
