Default Big Papertrey ?

Hi Ladies-

I just got my first order from papertrey today and was SO excited...until I opened it up and realized that it didn't come with the blocks to mount it on. I had no idea that I needed to buy the blocks too. I am so disappointed and I realize I can order more, but $5.50 in shipping is pretty steep to pay twice especially since the stamp set was on ly $15 and the block is only $10. Basically I would be paying $11 in shipping for $25 worth of product. Does anyone have any ideas???

Thanks!

Do you have any ink pads with clear lids? You can use the lid for the interim. Or if you have a Michael's nearby, they have them, too.

I got some of the Michael's dollar spot acrylic blocks to use with my papertrey sets. They're OK in a pinch, but they're really thin and it's easier to ink it up with a thicker block. I know Michael's and Hobby Lobby sell thicker acrylic blocks.

If you ever think shipping is too high. Move to Canada it cost $1.10 to send a card that has a ribbon or a brad on it!

When I bought my set of blocks from paper trey- there were three and I thought it was like 5 or 6 dollars...

If you want blocks but not shipping charges you will have to venture into some local craft store, but I thought there were more options to buy blocks from paper trey, I don't remember her only having one size/price.

Another idea, is to buy more stuff so that shipping is free!!

i've seen this question asked before. clear blocks NEVER come with clear sets, if they did it would say "clear stamp set AND block" or something like that. they are always purchased separately.
for now you can stick your clear stamps onto the sticker/picture side of your wood mounted stamps.

If you have drinking glasses with really flat bottoms, those work as blocks too

My Wal-Mart has clear blocks for about $4 or $5.

I've even used the clear acrylic box frames as blocks. I have a HUMONGOUS um rubber stamp, easily 6x9", that wouldn't fit on any of my blocks. The picture frame worked great!

Try using the back of a Stampin Up stamp. The stamp will cling to the sticker side of the SU block. Then you will have all the sizes you need for your fabulous new Papertrey stamps!
