Can anyone tell me the advantages of cuttlebug or cricut. If Michaels will have cricut on sale I'd like some info on it before the sale. Thanks much, Loalle

I have a cuttlebug and have to say that I love it. It does embossed background and diecuts. You can buy many embossed folders and dies for it. The cricut does die cuts only. The machine cannot emboss. From what I have seen on here there is advantages to both. For me the cuttlebug wasn't a bad price and everything that goes with it wasn't bad either. The cricut is expensive and all the cartridges that go with it are expensive as well. This is not saying that I wouldn't like to have one because I would.
I guess it all depends on what you want to use it for. In my personal opinion I think both are things that would help you out alot if you can afford them. I seen that the circut is going on sale this weekend for less than 200.00 in Canada and it is normally 399. Great price if you have the money.
Hope this helps. I am sure that you will hear from lots more people yet though.
