Best ink for photo stamps?

I have some photo stamps by Stampsmith, and I'd like to know which types of ink you've had the most success with. I know that glossy paper is best, and I use VersaFine for detailed images on uncoated papers. Can VF be used on glossy paper? My guess is no, because it's a pigment ink; but I could be wrong. Any suggestions? Thanks!

You're right - Versafine will not dry on glossy (although Brilliance, also a pigment ink, will).

I've only used one Stampsmith photo stamp in the past -somebody else's stamp in a round robin swap- and with that I found I got the best results with Versafine on very smooth white cardstock (something like Simply Smooth).

HTH!

Thanks, Joanne. I'll give the smooth cardstock & VF a try. :D

Forgot to say, if the stamp's a big one you might want to try applying the ink with a brayer. Smaller ones should be fine with the tap, tap, tap application :)
