Default the right ink for the right technique

Have I got this right? Most of you probably know this off the top of your heads but not me.

(= means requires)

gamsol/oms technique = dye ink
(heat) embossing = pigment ink
coloring with water-based markers = stazon
watercolor = stazon
coloring with copics = memento
resist = versamark

I'm sure there are others (feel free to add them), but I'm just trying to memorize the basics so I don't have to sit down and think about it or look it up every time I want to do one of these.

TIA, all!

Actually, for the Gamsol/OMS technique, I would say you need a solvent ink such as Stazon. I've had dye inks bleed on me when I tested them.

And, you can also use the Ranger distress inks for embossing. Even though they are a dye ink, they stay wet long enough.

I've heard quite a few say that Stazon gave them problems when using Gamsol/OMS. This makes sense, since the Gamsol/OMS IS a solvent and will dissolve the solvent based ink. I use a PERMANENT dye ink, Ancient Page. No problem w/ Gamsol, no problem when watercoloring, no problem when using water based markers. It's even held up when I've stamped the images and then used bleach. AP coal is my go to ink. Just my 2 cents.
